Wealthy elite will take the proceeds, average American is job hunting or living paycheck to paycheck, maybe even burning thru savings rn thanks to Trump economy
Nothing will get better for average American until they care more about their selves and wellbeing than projecting a macho culture
Imagine willing to be poor and struggling, working all the time for years so one day Trump can go on TV be macho and say we did a strike in Nigeria or Venezuela, lol
American population won't fight for universal healthcare, higher wages, lower cost of living , nothing
They just get excited to see Secretary of Defense make bombastic speech while they're battling financial issues and chronic illnesses

At the request of Venezuela, the United Nations may hold an emergency meeting on January 5. UN Secretary-General António Guterres stated that U.S. military action would set a dangerous precedent. Guterres called on all parties to respect international law, including the UN Charter, and expressed hope that differences could be resolved through political means.
Currently, Venezuela has submitted meeting documents to the UN Security Council. The Venezuelan government is requesting the following:
1. That the UN Security Council convene an emergency meeting
2. That the Security Council condemn the U.S.'s acts of aggression
3. That the U.S. must stop the attacks
4. That the U.S. be held accountable for its acts of aggression
The following is a personal statement and unrelated to the latest news.
This meeting is very important. It is related to the post-World War II international order. If the U.S.'s aggression toward Venezuela is not stopped or is vetoed by the U.S., it would be a serious violation of the UN Charter. The post-World War II international order would no longer exist, and the UN would lose its legitimacy. This is the most likely outcome.

At least, the American people don’t have an overlord military establishment to decide who gets to be their country’s president as they do in countries like Pakistan or Venezuela.

That describes the 'militaries' of most of the world. Most, especially outside of NATO, Russia and China but Pakistan and India are still better then the 'most' though as they are constantly on their toes, especially Pakistan has been.
I think some years ago I had said that the sorry state of countries is not only in the Islamic world but also bad, maybe even worse, are the Latin American and the African countries because those multiple dozens of countries, even though being too peripheral in geopolitics, are still a basket case in most ways while at least in case of the MENA region one could justifiably put some blame on the Eurasian continent's geopolitics.
