Venezuela - US Conflict: News, Updates

@Watandar or anyone - I believe since you are in US, what is the current reactions from MAGA people after Venezuela?

MAGA/GOP are praising Trump and happy the whole thing lasted few hours and no American casualties and now America owns all that oil. A portion of the Trump base is disappointed in his failure to fulfill his promises and focus on foreign affairs, but is quiet for now.

This tweet is absolutely hilarious, didn't even mention the Americans, if this tweet was your only source of info you would think Albania was invading Venezuela.

Better of them to just stay silent. Pakistan has no dog in this fight.

Please post up these data that you refer to, since I may have missed them above.

Just the facts, indeed.-

EDIT: This is what I posted earlier, in case you did not see this:

The numbers are already posted in the video. And thank you for the stats. That 60% (62% according to the video I posted) Canadian oil is heavy crude.

And the simple fact that you are posting import numbers when US is the largest producer of crude oil in the world is literally the point. It can’t refine that light (shale) oil locally and hence its exporting it and at the same time importing heavy crude for its refineries.

That was back in the days Venezuela's oil industry was nascent. It is easy to convert them to use lighter crudes, and I have posted the data showing it has already been in place for several years already. Besides, Athabascan Oil is plenty heavy and right next door.

In fact rumors of an "oil quarantine" show Venezuelan heavy crude is simply not an important source in the current oil markets. It just isn't. Its production is only about 900,000 BPD, and nearly half of that is consumed internally, heaving precious little for export to the black market.

The point went straight over your head. Watch Bilal video again.

Arghh….

Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world and no it’s not crap oil. It was matter of time before they were targeted by Americans. Brother Bilal video explains very well. American refineries were built to refine heavy oil what Venezuela has!

Yes, that is the Athabascan Oil I referred to above:

It can. It is just that others cannot use heavy crude and therefore it is advantageous for US companies to import heavy crude at a far lower price since there are few other competing buyers for it, and export lighter crude at a higher price that others refiners prefer on the global markets.

Here is more information if you are interested:

The API gravity of crude oil input to U.S. refineries has generally increased, or gotten lighter, since 2011 because of changes in domestic production and imports. Regionally, refinery crude slates—or the mix of crude oil grades that a refinery is processing—have become lighter in the East Coast, Gulf Coast, and West Coast regions, and they have become slightly heavier in the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions.

Simple question. Why is the largest producer of crude oil in the world is importing massive amounts of crude oil and it’s not a differential of production and demand? While exporting locally produced crude?

So no withdrawal of nomination indicates what...

I mean it's pretty clear where Pakistan government stands in regards to this act anyways.
Why are you replying to me again and again? You will get no validation here.

I just told you that we LITERALLY DEPLOY TRUMP IN WAYS THAT ANNOY AND NEEDLE INDIA, WASTE INDIAN TIME/RESOURCES.

And yet, even knowing all this, you keep feeding into this process. Every time Trump isn't dodging Epstein redactions or invading countries, he is yapping about 8 shiny new jets. What can I even say at this point about the average Indian's intelligence?

So others are letting cheap heavy crude go to America and are buying more expensive light crude from the US and that has nothing to do with refinery setup for heavy crude.

The no one else figured out that it’s smarter to refine cheap heavy crude instead of more expensive light crude because refinery can be easily made to take any kind of oil, right.

And as you said there are few competing buyers for a cheaper crude. I wonder why, maybe because their refineries are setup for light oil and can’t take heavy oil and vise versa for US.

And as you said there are few competing buyers for a cheaper crude. I wonder why.

Simple: Because not everyone can do it, despite wanting to gain that advantage.
