Venezuela - US Conflict: News, Updates

Have you ever heard of an enterprise called the British East India Company?

Empire through commerce.
It's different, the British East India Company is to open the road for Trade into South Asia and Asia Proper and subvert the area via both legal and illegal import, and if they are investing in Venezuela, they are investing in Venezuela........A place where I wouldn't plan my next vacation. I mean, what are they unlocking in Venezuela that you won't be able to get elsewhere?

There are many side of Commerce, not everything is profitable.

Trump to MS NOW:

The difference between Iraq and this is that Bush didn’t keep the oil. We’re going to keep the oil

No shame man

Wait ..I thought the long sold narrative was that we actually did keep Iraqi oil...that was the whole purpose of the war....an oil grab...right?

Are you now saying people on PDF have been lying to themselves all this time?

U didn't sieze the oil but western companies did get very lucrative oil contracts.

Are you also in the drug trade like your fellow friends from 'Venezuela'?

To have scared American posters cheer on America is one thing but to have Brits cheer this on represents a new achievement in daddy issues.
The level of judgement is too damn high lol

I am not cheering sh!t. If anything, I hope/wish Russia could do the same in Ukraine and get rid of Jewlensky - now that we have a precedent. Even though I don't buy the story of American military/intelligence so super duper that they can go in and kidnap the president of a country. This must have been some kind of deal - but only time will tell the details.

I only mentioned what my Venezolano friends feel about Maduro (and Chavez before him). 8 million Venezuelans had to flee the country - that must say something, right? it wouldn't surprise me if his own guards sold him out, the army and air defence soldiers were ordered to look the other way.

I have found that some people are still very naive.

Didn't you see so many Americans celebrating Trump's successful invasion of Venezuela in the post?

Why are they happy? Let's be frank, they are happy that the United States has taken over a colony. They are happy about the possibility of the United States obtaining colonial oil.

The United States is a new colonial empire, and these Americans are supporters of colonialism. Isn't this an obvious answer?

The only thing you can do is kneel down and become slaves to them, or stand up and resist.

It's ridiculous that those South Asian Americans suggest that you don't blame Britain for colonizing South Asia or Russia for invading Ukraine in the future. Your moral standards are not sufficient to support similar criticism.
Trump's game plan to reverse the decline of the US is colonialism. No more pretending.

I think the US leaders realize they can't keep up with China's industrial and technological progress, so the only way to retain dominance and the power of the dollar is to keep the entire Western hemisphere and regions of conflict (like the Middle East, Africa) in check.

We are going back to the Monroe Doctrine, the US has overwhelming power advantage in the Western hemisphere. The Latin American countries are all weak. Every country will be kept in line and will need to give up their resources and keep the dollar alive.

Venezuelan opposition calls for release of all political prisoners

Machado wearing a white jacket and speaking at an event.

Opposition leader María Corina Machado's movement has demanded for the release of all political prisoners in a post on X.

"Those who unjustly hold the civilian and military political prisoners should free them immediately," reads a statement from the Vente Venezuela movement.

Machado has reposted the statement on X.
So she is traitor

U didn't sieze the oil

🤫 Well thanks for that admission
(PDF narrative busted)

but western companies did get very lucrative oil contracts.
🤔 Are you sure? Look how China is clearly mentioned as benefiting the MOST.

Nobody is saying "Bush didn't keep the oil" except Trump. They loathe each other. The traditional neo-cons are a different animal completely to MAGA.

Petro is an ally of Maduro and allowing coca farming. Trump disagree with some of his decisions lately. Following link explore this theme at length:

Columbia needs to shift from coca farming but it is unclear that this shift is possible anytime soon or intentionally overlooked. Trump may not have sufficient time or patience for it.

These South American countries are accustomed to the US looking the other way or being lenient with them. But Trump admin is adopting a hardline stance for them, a first in the region. Now they all are in shock or in a bind.
I think they’re in shock all around from Denmark to Colombia to every other country that was an ally of America trump isn’t a hero he’s trying to steal the resources of as many countries as he can before it blows back on him

..and how long term is that logic???

What happens 3 years from now when he is out of office.
i suppose the next President (probably a Democrat) will say "hmm we kind of like Greenland..let's still keep it" after Trump whispers in their ear.

Not much of a democracy under Biden either and he wasn’t very mentally stable to say the least
