You apparently missed the news. Venezuela is now a US colony. Trump says the US runs Venezuela, the US controls its oil, its money, everything. Trump declares himself as president of Venezuela.

well, hard to say, without military occupation, power is hard to maintain. Look at Iraq and Afghanistan. Imagine 1 year from now, another MAduro rises. The problem with Maduro is it's a dictatorship. One man gone and the system collapses. In China or Russia, it is a politburo system, one man down, the system is still functioning, the party is still in charge.

Russia is not USSR, it is one man rule. Putin comes first, then is vacuum behind Putin, then nothing, after nothing come other cheap stooges as Lavrov, Shoigu. I see you still live in old age.
Venezuela is a country formerly ruled by a bus driver. Trump just needs to bribe the elites.

We shall see. The Venezuelans who approved of Trump's intervention have been telling Americans "we are unlike those stubborn crazy mideasters". It seems they will play ball and get whatever crumbs they can from American led Venezuela.

Political leaders in Norway have condemned the Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado’s “absurd” decision to present her Nobel peace prize medal to Donald Trump, accusing the US president of being a “classic showoff” who takes credit for other people’s work.

The Nobel laureate gave her medal to Trump at the White House on Thursday “in recognition [of] his unique commitment [to] our freedom”. Several hours later, Trump wrote on Truth Social that Machado “presented me with her Nobel peace prize for the work I have done. Such a wonderful gesture of mutual respect.”


The Nobel Peace Center said on social media that “a medal can change owners, but the title of a Nobel peace prize laureate cannot”. The organisers of the prize, the Norwegian Nobel Committee and the Norwegian Nobel Institute, had already said that the prize“ cannot be revoked, shared or transferred” when Machado first revealed her plan – a sentiment reiterated by the institute on Friday.
