Ccp seem not happy with Laos.
China just sends a low ranking official to Laos´ 50th republic day, while Vietnam the most senior official: the party chief. during the official greetings all foreign representatives stood up the Chinese officials remained idle. pretty weird.
Probably because Laos has set Vietnamese officials in the first seat row, the Chinese officials in the second row.

The Chinese delegate Wang is not nobody low ranking official, he ranks number 4 in CPC standing politburo and Chinese gov, one of 7 men members that run China. Its strange that he sits in the second row, thats possibly a snub, and he is probably upset, so no standing salute to the ceremony. No, actually Wang sits in the front row two seats to the left of Laos president.

Yes he seems not happy that’s likely why he refused to stand up. but that’s settled. On this picture he is on the first row. The world is in harmony.

Vietnam’s airport and the airline-owning Sun Group bet on Phú Quốc resort as the next Phuket or Bali

Premium Analysis
1764837808727.png
Vietnam's tourist offer, along with visitor numbers, is growing steadily, helped partly by limited privatisation of airports and extensions to many of them, and by a drop-off in trade to neighbouring Thailand.

Now the SUN Group, the operator of the airport at Phú Quốc and elsewhere, has come up with a scheme to propel the island resort into the same league as others, like Bali in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand and Jeju in Korea. This will be by launching a new airline, which will not compete with the existing international routes at Phú Quốc, but rather will maximise its presence in high volume domestic markets first as a launch pad to new international routes later.

Phú Quốc is well served from some countries and regions, but not others.

The new airline's fleet will grow from a projected eight aircraft by the end of 2025 to 100 by 2030, including long haul models.

The one clear advantage SUN Group has is in both horizontal and vertical integration. It controls its own supply chain in each of the sectors of air travel, accommodation and tourist facilities, while also owning a private airline for visitors with deep pockets.

This will be an intriguing experiment.

Others have gone before it in Europe and the Americas with a similar philosophy, and it has shown to be a winner.

Before making such statements, you should at least have some basic understanding of common sense.

Wang Huning. Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. The highest-ranking official in China.
Are you calling him a low-ranking official?

From the era of Jiang Zemin, through the era of Hu Jintao, to the current era of Xi Jinping, he has consistently been a core advisor at the highest levels of the Chinese government. He is a key architect of China's national strategic policies over the past few decades. Many governments and think tanks around the world have teams dedicated to studying his ideas.
However, he himself is extremely low-key and rarely appears in public.

Do you still think he is a "low-level official"?

I didn´t say low-level, I said low-ranking.
yes, Wang Huning is important in the rank, but from what I see, he is an architect, a technocrate, a chief ideologue. As such he is not considered as high-ranking in the system because he does not make decisions.
But that´s Ok. Laos is a small fish. Russia and Cuba did not send Putin and Diaz, either.

He is one of the top 7, without a doubt the most senior official in China.

In theory, he has the same power as Xi Jinping in major.

btw: Wang Huning has been a shaper of China's geopolitical policy since the 1990s, going through the Jiang, Hu, and Xi. You could make an argument he is China's Kissinger and Brzezinski. He has a very high and very special place in the Chinese government. The Laos govt was somewhat rude in the way it treated him.

The remarkable box office records of 'Tunnel', produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's reunification, are drawing significant attention.

The film', which is set to be released domestically on December 31, is generating excitement by setting meaningful box office records in Vietnam.

Tunnel' is a war epic that tells the story of the Vietnamese guerrilla forces who risked their lives against the U.S. military in the Cu Chi Tunnels, a symbol of resistance, and was produced over a long period to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's reunification, premiering locally last April. Following its historical content and outstanding quality, it has garnered intense interest, achieving unprecedented box office records for a war film.

No it’s a mix. The Mods merged all in one thread.
And we don’t have a giant military budget that there is news everyday. Unless a war on the horizon.
