Oh well, psycho are everywhere, be prepared just in case.
There are some assumptions. One is the US will not attack China and Vietnam militarily at the same time. Not going to work.
They can wage economic warfare possible but that’s illogical. Vietnam can produce unlimited cheap consumer goods. that’s something every US gov needs to keep living costs down.
Conclusion the MAGA will not wage economic war against China and Vietnam at the same time.

MAGA can't even point out where is China and Vietnam on the map.

These illiterate cave men have already wasted too much resources on Earth.

The US lost the war, they know where Vietnam on the map. There is a scare among US military so the possibility of a new US invasion is very small. Remember, the US army was much more powerful during that time than it is today.

By the way, Vietnam now enjoys one of the lowest US import tariffs ever, 16% in total, down from 21.6%. The US apparently needs more cheap imports.

Ridiculous. The Chinese treat German gov chief Friedrich Merz and other top ranking CEOs as school kids, as unwanted guests. In contrast Xi Jinping, Wang Yi treated Le Hoai Trung, Vietnam’s foreign minister much better. And Trung is just a gov member.
Trung visited Beijing before going to Washington and Moscow. People may notice the order, the importance of countries he visits.

These people's hubris is simply staggering.

They won't even admit to become technologically inferior to China's 6th gen aircraft, kung fu robot, Seedance, etc.

Let alone that a country that they perceive as a small Temu China.

Temu? Vietnam is projected to export $400 billion worth of goods to the US in 2027 or 2018, surpassing Canada. That’s many Temu’s.

Vietnamese, including myself, love to brag, albeit not as much as the Indian, haha. It is one aspect of our thousand year culture. It is not good, as many Vietnamese scholars like Pham Quynh, criticized it since early 20th century, but the tradition still persists. And this trait had even entered the intelligentsia. In Vietnamese, "Nói trạng", literally, speak like a Zhuangyuan 狀元, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhuangyuan, means bragging.

It is one of the main reason why after thousand year of independence from China, Vietnam was still so backward and had to import manufactured items from medieval China, Japan, Ryukyu and the West, while export mostly raw materials. Even the Confucianist ideology taught at Vietnamese schools was backward version, not the updated one like in Japan or Korea, according to "Nho giáo (Confucianism)" by Trần Trọng Kim.

Because the German chancellor and the ruling gov have taking hostile arsenic and annoying remarks and actions against China in recent years. His foreign minister and himself just before coming to China have all making provocative and hypocritical statements about China. Chinese are not dumb that they totally can't see and hear what's going on in Germany. That means the Chinese gov doesn't take Merz, his gov and his visit seriously. This is not surprising, we all know Chinese netizens attitudes online.

Thaco to launch its own passenger car brand, challenging VinFast

Vietnamese conglomerate Thaco plans to produce and sell passenger cars under its own brand, a move that would make it the country’s second domestic car brand after VinFast.

In a Monday message to employees, Thaco chairman Tran Ba Duong said Thaco Auto will introduce a Thaco-branded minibus in June 2026, followed by passenger cars, vehicles with fewer than nine seats, in 2027.

If realized, the plan would mark a strategic shift for Thaco, which has long been one of Vietnam’s largest assemblers and distributors of passenger and commercial vehicles but has relied primarily on foreign brands for its passenger car portfolio.

Thaco currently assembles and distributes models from Mazda, Kia, Peugeot, BMW, and MINI, and is set to add U.S. brands Jeep and RAM to its lineup this year. However, product pipelines remain heavily dependent on overseas partners, with some BMW models, all MINI vehicles, and BMW Motorrad motorcycles imported.

Industry analysts say launching an in-house brand could help Thaco stabilize factory utilization and capture greater value across the supply chain.

Vietnam’s auto market continues to show growth potential, supported by rising car ownership and income levels. Total vehicle sales in 2025 reached 604,134 units, up 22.2% from a year earlier.

Thaco operates a major automotive complex in the Chu Lai Industrial Zone in the central province of Quang Ngai. The facility spans more than 489,000 square meters with designed annual capacity of around 120,000 vehicles – the third largest nationwide after plants operated by Vingroup’s EV arm VinFast and Hyundai. The group also runs 19 mechanical engineering and auto parts factories supporting domestic assembly and exports.

Automobile assembly and distribution remains Thaco’s largest revenue driver, ahead of its interests in real estate, agriculture, logistics, and supporting industries. Thaco Auto is forecast to generate revenue of about VND65.5 trillion ($2.51 billion) in 2026 and $30.5 million in export value.

Yunnan’s Hekou North Station handles 10,000+ Vietnamese tourists by late February

China Railway Kunming Group says Hekou North Station—situated on the China-Vietnam border in Yunnan—has already served more than 10,000 Vietnamese leisure travellers since 1 January, a milestone reached a full month earlier than last year. On 26 February the C560 service departed Hekou with over 430 Vietnamese passengers bound for Kunming South, reflecting a 35 percent year-on-year rise in demand. (chinadaily.com.cn)

The rail operator has teamed up with border inspection, customs and leading tour operators to forecast flows and pre-allocate extra rolling stock during peak weekends. Officials said Hekou Port itself processed 1.01 million entries and exits by 24 February, up 12.7 percent, becoming the first Yunnan gateway to top one million crossings this year.

For travellers keen to take advantage of these burgeoning rail links, obtaining the right travel documents is still essential. VisaHQ’s online platform streamlines the application process for Chinese visas—whether you’re a Vietnamese national heading north or an international passenger planning a wider itinerary—through digital forms, expert review and optional courier pickup. Consul-General Nghiem Viet Chung of Vietnam told local media that further streamlining of group-visa paperwork and high-speed rail connectivity could push numbers higher, benefiting hotels and duty-free outlets in Kunming and Dali. For corporate mobility teams, the figures confirm growing seat shortages on Kunming–Hanoi flights and competition for rail tickets around public holidays.

Yunnan’s provincial government is investing in bilingual signage and fast-track lanes for organised tour groups, mirroring Guangxi’s upgrades. Travel managers should monitor scheduled maintenance on the Kunming–Hekou line in April, which could temporarily cap capacity.

If Vietnamese wanted to blindly follow the westernization, then you would have completely lost your identity akin to Philippines.
