If I was you I would not rest on 5,000 year civilization. Thing can change tomorrow. the world now is very dangerous. Remember of Japanese invasion the civilization won’t help you much in the past.So you think since China has developed into a giant modern advanced industrial society in few decades so can shithole India or other country ? China being the only continuous 5000 years old civilizational state in the world is not meant for nothing.
Having access to advanced technology or being well integrated into the ecosystem doesn't really matter much if you don't have a large enough market to sell into. That's why EVs have been possible in a way that AI and semiconductors probably won't be. The US simply doesn't dominate the EV industry the way they do in chips and advanced AI, so there's more room for others to conduct business. For example, VinFast can source components and sub-assemblies from China, assemble them, and export without running into the same kind of hard barriers. But I don't see that model working for AI or semiconductors. And last time I checked, China mostly buys agricultural products and raw natural resources from other countries, while your own industries tend to hollow out or bankrupt competitors in higher-value sectors. So the real question is how much actual demand, and for what kinds of products, can China realistically create for Vietnam? And countries like South Korea and Japan have every reason to want the US to stay dominant in these critical technologies because they themselves are deeply leveraged on American tech platforms and standards.

India has the largest population. That alone matters.
China is still a living civilization for so long, that means something, of course we should not rest on it. India's huge population could be a burden or time bomb rather than an asset if the people are not properly educated and skilled in today's world. Even by their very low standard of literacy, there are still about 25% illiterate adult population in India, only about 25% of their female population actually work and then there is their disgusting caste system, to name a few problems. All these will hinder their chance of progress. They have a long way to go before becoming a modern society. China doesn't worry about its population dropping slowly. China can afford to slowly decrease the population to around 500 to 700 millions for the optimum living conditions. In the mean time, China will build many AI robots to take over many human work.If I was you I would not rest on 5,000 year civilization. Thing can change tomorrow. the world now is very dangerous. They are just dreaming. I haven't seen any other people other than the Indians so obsessed of becoming a superpower, and many pf them believe their country is one besides US. And yet they can't even properly build toilets for the population and stinky garbage are littered everywhere, lol. What's why China will now impose 100% high tech embargo on India.
If they can manage to overcome hurdles like China has done to the US, then they are going to rise as a future superpower and great civilization like China is doing now.
Otherwise, their superpower ambition will remain as a pipedream forever.
