“Japan’s most worries have arrived.”

Japan relationship to Vietnam has been always great, however thing is about to change in 2026.
In addition to Japan economic weakness, collapse of the Yen, rising hostility with China, Russia and North Korea with parallel weakening US military alliance,
now with Vietnam rapprochement to China,
economy growing quickly with some projections Vietnam would overtake Japan in next decades, Japan feels weak and sidelined.

The Japanese have no reason to worry. Military wise Vietnam remains neutrality, economic wise the relationship will change from receiving end to equality. And I think Vietnamese will continue flocking to Japan.
