those vehicles seem to be new russian Kamaz trucks, with transport rail. most likely for the new Pth152 Howitzer. Vietnam manufacturers Kamaz trucks on medium scale since 2019.

The thing about export trade is, there is always a market for your produce.
well, Vietnamese buyers snap the canolas cargoes because the Chinese don’t buy so the Canadians must sell cheap. 1 or 2 months from now if still no buyers, I am sure they will dump the product at lowest price possible.

assuming Boeing has fixed all errors the plane is great, fuel efficiency equal to Airbus. 200 new aircraft is a great number for Vietjet. ultimately all 9 domestic airliners would possibly operate 1,000+ aircraft in 5+years.

Vietnam is relatively safe. Basically, the police will blackmail dozens or hundreds of RMB and will not collude with the gang and kidnap you.

The essence of traveling is to go from a place you are tired of staying in to a place others are tired of staying in. As for the entire tourism industry, it is always fluid rather than fixed. Even if Thailand's tourism industry recovers, it will not prevent a large number of Chinese tourists from traveling to Vietnam.

You just need to consider maintaining tourist appeal.

Outside the window of my house is the Yuewang Tower, the first of the four famous towers in the Tang Dynasty of China. This is a photo I took from my home.

I look at it every day and have become numb to it. However, whenever a friend comes to visit me, he will ask me to take him to visit it.......
Vietnamese and Chinese are culturally too similar that always creates friction. Thailand is different. different thinking, another universe. people tend to go to places where they can discover different cultures, different thing, not similar stuffs.
even if we one day develop same or better tourism infra than Thailand, I don’t see we will surpass the Thai in absolute numbers.

Is it mostly sex tourism?

I think they got tired of waking up in the hotel and realizing the pretty girl they brought back from Thai streets was about to borrow their razor.

yes that’s temporary. once Thailand cleans up the mess then Chinese tourists will return.
That's not easy to do. The decline in Chinese tourists to Thailand isn't just a safety issue; another major issue is that the vast majority of Chinese tourists have already traveled through Thailand, and the experience isn't great. Vietnam and Malaysia are far better destinations than Thailand.

Many of my family and friends have been to Vietnam, and they are all full of praises for the land and the people.

Regards

Is it mostly sex tourism?

No. Most Chinese people go to Vietnam for the beaches and food. Of course, it's easier to find prostitutes in Vietnam than in China, where prostitution is illegal.

The essence of travel is to find a balance between the familiar and the unfamiliar.

I visited Phuket, Thailand, in 2020. It gave me the feeling of a Chinese ethnic minority village in the early 1990s.

1. Its streetscape resembles rural China from the 1990s.
2. Locals speak broken Chinese and Thai; Chinese people are everywhere; and Chinese pop songs blare from streetside speakers; and billboards are in both Chinese and Thai......This scenario is exactly the same as Han Chinese traveling to ethnic minority areas in China.
