Summary of the most prominent contracts and agreements signed at the World Defense Show 2026
The exhibition witnessed the signing of more than 60 defense deals with a total value of approximately 33 billion Saudi riyals, equivalent to about 9 billion US dollars, which included major Saudi and international companies.
Among the most prominent international companies participating in the contracts are the French MBDA, the American Raytheon, the South Korean Hanwha Aerospace, the Italian Leonardo, the Turkish Aselsan, and the Turkish Baykar, in addition to the National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS) and the Saudi Military Industries Company (SAMI).
Among the announced deals and agreements
1- An agreement to purchase 4 C-27NG Spartan MPA maritime patrol aircraft with the Italian company Leonardo
2- An agreement to supply 8 satellites in cooperation with the Italian side
3- Signing the largest contract in the history of the Italian company WASS to supply MU90 torpedoes to the Saudi Navy
4 - Signing a contract between the Ministry of Interior and the Australian company Lürssen Australia to localize the manufacturing of marine vessels within the Kingdom
5 - Agreement to purchase and settle the Thrush 710P aircraft for firefighting missions
6 - An agreement between SAMI and Raytheon to localize the manufacturing and assembly of Patriot GEM-T missiles within the Kingdom.
7 - An agreement between the Saudi Company for Military Industries (SAMI) and the Turkish company Roketsan to produce cruise missiles and anti-armor missiles locally.
8 - An agreement between the National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS) and the French company KNDS to localize artillery ammunition, tanks, mortar bombs, propellant charges and fuses.
9- Signing an agreement between the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) and the French company KNDS to establish a new factory specialized in manufacturing cannon tubes inside the Kingdom with 105 mm and 155 mm calibres.
10- An agreement between SAMI and the Indonesian company PT Pindad to develop and manufacture automatic machine guns of 12.7 mm and 7.62 mm calibres.
11- An agreement between SAMI and the German company Rheinmetall to manufacture and produce the 25 mm Oerlikon KBA cannon inside the Kingdom.
In addition to dozens of memorandums of cooperation and understanding with local and international companies in the fields of military manufacturing, technology transfer, localization, maintenance and logistical support.
From what has been announced so far, these represent the majority of the major deals, with additional memorandums of understanding in the areas of space, drones, smart munitions, electronic systems, cyber warfare, and technical support and maintenance.
