We Will Defeat Narendra Modi And BJP In Gujarat': Rahul Gandhi At Public Gathering In Ahmedabad

He had a point. And I a counterpoint.
He was talking with exceptional political ineptitude, the approach of someone who comes to ideological differences with an earthmover.

The CPI has never had a role to play in politics for a very long time now. It was last in prominence in the person of a former Speaker of the Lok Sabha, the one who later became Home Minister, a very successful one.

Perhaps your conversation was about the CPI(M), a completely different entity. It was probably not about the CPI, nor about the CPI(ML) or any of its hydra-headed manifestations.

This is about political identities, and the merits of the conversation is a completely different thing.

I meant Jyoti Basu wala CPI Joe. Obviously. CPI(M) yes ....

I agree that it was naive of him to equate Mamta dethroning them to Congress entering Gujarat.

1) I do not think Mamta's fight and win was ideological

2) Mamta (and her cadre) is as bong as the late Jyoti Basu. It was a home fight.

In Gujarat, Congress is storming the citadel.

It was not.

She was a storm-trooper for the Congress, whose politics consisted of outflanking the CPI(M) on the populism flank. Whatever they promised, she went one-up, that's all. A position totally devoid of ideology, that gained mileage in recent years due to the brazen attempt to do a north Indian make-over of Bengal, ignoring the obvious warning signals available for all to read.

That is why her party has no ideologues, and specialises in kleptocrats and spokespersons.

Thanks.

@kmc_chacko Joe is as bong as they come.

Cheers, Doc

A little more, actually, given my roots.
Hyper-Bong, as in laboratory rats fed supplementary diet additions that make them, uh, physically superior?

Yes. Spare us the gory details.

In Gujarat, Congress is storming the citadel.
Consider the historical background.

Gujarat was a stronghold of the pre-Independence activist Congress. It continued to be a Congress stronghold well into the 60s and 70s. However, behind the scenes, the termites had been at work.

It is time, now, for the natural cycle of excessive growth, splits within the bloated system, and a decline due to fissiparous tendencies. THAT is when you people need to step up and take a swing.

Swings are being taken.

We have an absentee NRI PM.

And a Shadow PM with and for the people. Daily. Across India.

I wonder if she is from either of the well-known Sherwani families. One from Kashmir, the martyr of Baramula, one from Lucknow, the flashlight makers.

Very regal yes. 👌 Lucknowi more than Kashmiri, to my eye and ear.

I'm currently into Mirzapur Season 3, while on the trainer, every evening. 😂

SO important!

Listening to the poor.

He has a very clear philosophy, for himself and his party workers. Said it in a recent interview.

He said, aside from the optics, actually physically do the work. Sleeves rolled up, of the common man.

Only then will you as a politician understand their point of view and then set out to help them and chart a course.

He's not making videos. He's actually as socialist as his grand dad.
