What logic? America talks about defeating China through Child birth and I for many years point out american demographics will look like Brazilian demographics in a couple decades to come.

I see similar pattern emerging between China and America. China can not hope to destroy America militarily so it will bide its time for centuries if need be for America to fall demographically, culturally, economically or politically and then put it out of its misery in the final stages.

Why does China see the US as some kind of imminent military threat?

China's military buildup is not because of some kind of impending US invasion threat. If the US wanted to attack China we had plenty of opportunity to do it in the past. Instead this is more about feeling defenseless because China was not able to regain control of Taiwan for the last 77 years.
