Yes, you gotta be careful in India, jungle sa hai, Kabhi bhi saanp can biting.
Once you get the lay of the land and know your animals and reptiles, to not go in the tall grass.. etc, one can survive, and thrive.
This is true for desis too, but 'dos and donts' ki training starts as a kid and becomes second nature.
In a sense it is not much different from other parts of the world. South America, I have been told by countless travelers (including solo traveler women), much worse and more violent. When I'm down south, daily dekhne ko milta hai, not any kinda jahil behavior but random goras ko tung krte hai ye dalit, will ask for salfie, or keep staring, or pretend to take ek doosre ki photu, but focus will be on someone sunbathing in bikini... very cringe, totally dalit.. the dirty ugly little 4 footers.
