Thank you for respecting my decision. It was mine and mine alone, just so that everyone is clear. In return, as I have mentioned for over a decade, I remain respectful of the the management's right to run their forum as they see fit.
I can only note that the inherent hypocrisy of expecting moderators to enforce rules fairly and equally for everyone without exceptions, as claimed, while creating exemptions such as protected, or sheltered, users or indeed even whole subfora pandering to certain recognizable agendas, is something that remains beyond my capacity to accept, with my apologies. Obviously, all my former team members are comfortable with this approach, so I cannot do much in this regards as the lone minority of one.
Please note that the above is not meant to be disrespectful in any way, but only as an indication of my personal limitations. Nothing else.
I can only participate as much or as little as the alignment between my own principles and the goals of the forum will allow me. Only that level of participation is within my purview, and not much else.
Of course, all others members can decide the same for themselves, as is their right.
The end result, of course, will be a forum, exactly as management actually intend it to be, and nothing more or less than that. As always, actions, not words, matter in the end. Always.
