Pashtuns see themselves as Iranic.

But Iranis look down upon them.

Are Punjabis and Pashtuns same to the Iranis?

Some might do.

Historically speaking Punjabis And Pashtuns have lots of animosity towards each other. Pasthun nationalists don't even spare Indian Punjabis.

Such tensions are exists in Indian ethnicities too. For eg ongoing feud between Meiteis and Kukis in Manipur.

Rajput vs Jaat vs Gujjar violence observed in Northern India. So on.

There is no religious enmity against anyone in Iran and faces of Pashtuns are completely similar to Iranians and their language is also an Iranian language.

Even racist secularists in Iran are not against Pashtuns.

I saw more hatred against Hazaras in Iran because they have East Asian genetics. .

Half the afghani in Iran are pashto. And the Afghani number 8 million in Iran now with half of them Pashto and now they are demanding their rights as Iranian citizens.
