The dispute between Chinese netizens and Turkish netizens comes from the fact that Chinese do not think Türkiye is Turkic, but Muslim Greek.

Chinese people believe that DNA is the basis for determining ethnic identity. A simple logic is that if Turkic conquered Anatolia, Türkiye would become Turkic, and Britain conquered India, Indians would become Anglo Saxons.

They do not like their European heritage but prefer their Asian/Chinese hertige but you will see other bums like the Indians doing it the opposite trying to connect themselves to Europe while the Turks are running away from their European bloodline and hertige to claim roots in China.
