Why should Pakistan accept a British criminal?

Local law should be applied in whatever realm a crime is committed.

This why faux "advocacy" groups like that Detained In Dubai are nothing more than a front for clandestine and subversive social activity by hostile intel agencies.

The hypocrisy of the Brits is truly something.

Brits have committed sexual crimes abroad, against local laws, then have been rightly punished for said crimes, only for London and its agencies to adopt a completely opposite approach to the standards applied domestically. Suddenly, sex fiends are "victims" of "excessive foreign laws" or some "miscarriage of justice".

Hypocrisy in defence of sexual crime!

It's a strange island that you call home.

Media is having a collective orgasm over this.

Right then!

Enough is enough. Pakistan must not let this man into Pakistani territory under any circumstances. He is a criminal and is persona non-grata.

I have heard the Altaf Hussain swapsies argument but that is not good enough. Indeed, there should be no price tag on dignity and the safety of Pakistani citizens.

Make sure this individual stays in UK and thereby force the British government to explain to all of us why their sentencing is so lenient for these criminals! I for one want to hear the cock n bull reasoning! It has been a whole week since Starmer got the sack, so Whitehall is due its next dose of self-administered embarrassment.

Of course, I say all the above rather wishfully. Realistically, someone in Pakistan will likely roll out a red carpet for him in exchange for a tidy sum.

Bangladesh has refused to take back Shamima Begum. As far as I know she is still living in some Syrian camp. Hence Pakistan should refuse to take these convicted criminals.

An easy way out of this can be for Pakistan to say it will chemically castrate these men upon return. Then it will be against UK human rights law to send them to Pakistan, regardless of the nationality question.

Schizophrenia is not merely "strange" but is a very treatable mental illness.
These British people claim that Pakistan is not safe for women and children and then want to send a sex predator which their society groomed back to the very same Pakistan.

This current imbecile govt will do it for exchanging Adil raja and shahzad Akbar

I'm a complete outsider to this situation. But yes, why should Pakistan accept a criminal who committed crimes on British citizens in Britannia

There is no real story here, in fact. The British government itself realizes there are no grounds for deportation since the sentence has been served. This non-issue is simply a political stunt circus, that is all, to rile up anti-immigrant hysteria.

Until and unless the law is amended, this thread and all the misguided vitriol therein is utterly useless.

The government is actively trying to change the law to enable a deportation post-completion of sentence.

If the government is pursuing this, there should be a counteraction taken by Pakistan.

Or are you happy for Pakistan to twiddle its thumbs until the law is passed?

No doubt when that day comes, you will be among the first to curse the Pakistani state for disorganisation, lack of preparedness, and amateurish reactionary behaviour.

"As first reported by the Telegraph, Shabana Mahmood is expected to set out on Monday how she plans to amend the 1971 Immigration Act which currently stops Shabir Ahmed being removed from the UK."

So what are these "plans"?
Lets wait and see 😉
