Only a very small number of athletes win gold. Most who reach the podium win silver or bronze, and that is also a remarkable achievement. A gold medal is obviously special, but silver and bronze medalists have achieved something extraordinary too, and people can remember their achievements for decades.
And Indian hockey has consistently been ranked among the top five teams in recent years, so I would never include it on a list of the “worst” performing teams.
Depends. To me, simply participating in the Olympics is itself a huge achievement.Actually I will. Who remembers a bronze hockey medal ffs? If Pakistan is your current benchmark for strength, Europeans and Argentina will be licking their lips. We may as well play ice hockey against each other - nobody else will notice.
