One of the most beautiful countries on earth in terms of beaches, coastline, islands and rainforests (Borneo and West Papua in particular). World's largest island archipelago. Great people as well.
Indonesia will always have a special place in the hearts of Arabians (in particular people from Hejaz/KSA and Yemen) given the ancient people to people ties and millions of Indonesians of Arab/Arabian ancestry and similarly almost 1 million Saudi Arabian citizens of Indonesian ancestry (full, partial and ancient due to Hajj and Umrah).
The economic powerhouse of the Muslim world also and the most populous Muslim nation in the world.
Of all non-Arab Muslim states, in terms of sentiment, nobody (for me and many Arabs) comes close to Indonesia and Pakistan.
I was watching World Cup qualifiers and noticed this Indonesian referee.Yup, the relationship started from ancient trading between Arab - China and continues until now
Yup many Arab Indonesian in Indonesia, including those who have mixed in the ancient time and now they are already seen as 100 % native despite the physic look different
There are still somehow some Arab Indonesian that look like MBS but actually an Indonesian, look like very recent migration during Soekarno period or early Soeharto where the migration happened with both parent so dont mix yet, that is the period where easy migration still happened due to migration rule still relax

I was watching World Cup qualifiers and noticed this Indonesian referee.

Similarly you can find many prominent Saudi Arabian (clerics, businessmen, government officials, media personalities) that look Indonesian/South East Asian.

13 children (!)and from Al-Khobar. Most Saudi Arabians of Indonesian origins are originally from Hejaz but they can be found all over KSA similar to the Arab Indonesians that are found from West Papua to Sumatra but most are based in Java.
I hope that KSA/Arab world will strengthen ties with Indonesia even further and help each other grow stronger economically, scientifically and militarily and in every sphere of importance for mutual benefit.

KOMPAS.com – Imagine an airport that is not just a cold concrete terminal, but a living being that breathes with the soul of Bali, the Island of the Gods.
Its shell curves like the cosmic turtle Bedawang Nala that supports the universe, its arches resonate with the harmony of Tri Hita Karana, and every corner becomes a stage for cultural performances amid rows of green retail spaces.
This is not a mythical dream, but the design concept for the North Bali International Airport (BIBU), officially launched by PT BIBU Panji Sakti at the Kubutambahan office, Buleleng, on Wednesday (Sept 24, 2025).
With the blessing of President Prabowo Subianto—who included it in the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) as a national priority project—the airport is more than just infrastructure.
It is a revolution set to balance development between South and North Bali, accommodate 30 million passengers per year, and transform Bali into a “Tropical New Singapore.”

Sustainable Development Principles
The North Bali Airport adopts sustainable development principles.
The emotional story of PT BIBU Panji Sakti’s President Director, Erwanto Sad Adiatmoko Hariwibowo, who nearly cried during the launch, added to the project’s appeal.
“This has been a 10-year struggle, from Balinese pilots afraid of landing on sacred sites to Prabowo’s promise to add state budget (APBN) funding if money runs short,” said Erwanto.
With an MoU worth US$3 billion, or the equivalent of Rp50.2 trillion from China, the airport merges cultural nostalgia with economic ambition.
A Decade-Long Discourse
The North Bali International Airport project has not been an overnight story. Since 2015, it has been proposed as a solution to the overcrowding at Ngurah Rai International Airport, which now serves 23.6 million passengers per year (nearly its maximum capacity of 24 million).

The North Bali Airport will be built on restored abrasion land, not reclamation.
Initially proposed as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project in the Finance Ministry’s 2013 PPP Book, it stalled due to environmental studies and regulatory issues.
PT BIBU Panji Sakti initiated the project with a vision of creating a 900-hectare artificial island in Kubutambahan, Buleleng, a strategic location 75 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport, near Lovina Beach and Mount Batur.
The turning point came under President Prabowo Subianto. On February 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. local time, with 13 royal elders (pengelingsir puri), the BIBU team met Prabowo at the Ministry of Defense.
“If I win, this airport will definitely be built. If funds are lacking, I’ll add from the state budget,” Prabowo promised. This has now been realized through Presidential Regulation No. 12 of 2025 on the 2025–2029 RPJMN.
Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment, Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), confirmed Prabowo’s approval in June 2025: “This is a priority to rival neighboring airports, with supporting infrastructure such as roads and international facilities blended with Balinese culture.”
Rp50.2 Trillion Investment
The Rp50.2 trillion investment from China was signed at the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing in November 2024, further affirming the project’s readiness.
