It shows that Chinese engine manufacturers have matured across the board. WS 10C for J10,J20. WS 15 for J 20A, WS 19 or WS 21 for J 35, and now WS 20 for Y20B,
So, I hope there are no more comments or questions on the validity and maturity of Chinese engine manufacturers.
It is indeed an excellent day for the Chinese Turbofan engine. With this engine, Y20 reached its full potential as a strategic lifter
The Shenyang WS-20 is a high-bypass turbofan engine designed to power the People's Liberation Army Air Force's (PLAAF) Y-20 family of strategic airlifters. The WS-20 is a significant improvement over the Russian D-30KP-2 engines that power the Y-20A, and is expected to produce around 31,000 pounds of thrust compared to the D-30KP-2's 26,450 pounds.
Here are some of the benefits of the WS-20 engine:

Here are some of the benefits of the WS-20 engine:
- Increased payload
The WS-20 will allow the Y-20 to carry a maximum of 66 tons of cargo, which is more than the 50 tons the prototype could carry. This will allow China to transport heavy battle tanks and missile launchers across Asia.
- Improved fuel performance
The WS-20's improved bypass ratio may give the Y-20U tanker superior endurance and refueling capacity. - Lower operational costs
The WS-20 is expected to improve the Y-20's flight performance with lower operational costs. - Greater reliability
The WS-20 is expected to improve the Y-20's reliability.
