THINK TANK: CONSULTANT
Their concerns are less so about the Houthis and more so about Iranian/Shia'a influence in their immediate backyard.Agreed and like I said from the start, the only solution is to come to the table and talk.
I don't think House of Saud has legitimate concerns. They have been aggressing against the Yemeni for decades, causing famine and hundreds of thousands to die. If the Islamic world is to succeed in overcoming the shackles of Zionism, then the biggest blocker needs to be removed, and that happens to be the House of Saud.
You'd have to be an authority on the House of Saudi to ascertain whether or not they deem that to be a legitimate enough concern. I think they do which is why this mess started even before the rapprochement between KSA-Iran.
I think any entity that tries to exert influence over others is problematic in what is a very pluralistic Islamic world. This means the Salafi House of Saud and Shia'a Iran have to be mindful of this and instead of making the entire Islamic world and the ME a battleground of ideologies, find ways to bridge the gulf.
