This point doesn't really add up with the way Saudis do things though. They'd pay 10x that amount if that option was there to close the deal. Throwing money at problems it literally all they know how to do. So I doubt it was ever available to them or we wouldn't be here rn.

but the obvious solution for a conflict of that kind is economic.

see usa behavior in america continent in 21st century: military conflict is last resort, and if it happens it ends quickly. usa only do endless wars far from their borders, protected by two oceans.

yemen houthi could be home for ksa factories, cheap labor force, mutual benefits economic relation, instead they bomb each other like retarded nutjobs.

yemen houthi lowest gdp per capita of arab and muslim world.
both sharing border.
and ksa cant beat them, it seems a joke. i suspect about foul play of ksa allies.
anyway with those conditions the first simplest and cheapest solution should be economic.
