Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

Former Saudi intelligence chief Turki al-Faisal said that the Kingdom's commitment to restraint was firmly established in its policy, but it was no longer applicable after the attacks that targeted Saudi territory by the H.M. militia.Houthi and Iraqi factions.

Al-Faisal described Israel as a "malicious force" that feeds on military invasion to consolidate its regional influence, noting that it has regional ambitions

Developments in #Sanaa..

Violent Yemeni air strikes on the Houthi militia headquarters below Jabal al-Nahdain

They hit with rudimentary ballistic missiles..with almost no effect..
Didn’t we see quite a few Saudi military hangers destroyed with pinpoint accuracy I saw a missile strike on a group of vehicles dead on I said cheaper than an interceptor not that they weren’t effective against targets that they hit we have to assume if they are firing off dozens of interceptors against several or even a dozen like they did in Jordan and Israel they are doing the same in Saudi Arabia if not more because if these missiles are heading to vital oil areas they would be more than likely to try to stop direct hits at all costs

Update - Sana'a - News of the bombing and destruction of oil derivatives warehouses used by the terrorist Houthi militias for their military purposes

Ansarallah continues to gain ground in Taiz

It appears to have slowed down for various reasons, some of which are mediation by third parties to return to pre-ceasefire lines. Imo, Ansarallah ability to lay siege (if they can) and get forces in Taiz to surrender (again if done) will force the conflict in Yemen to take a new turn.

It is not easy for Ansarallah to contend against resourceful nations. If I was Iran I'd work with Qatar and others to try to return to pre-ceasefire lines as Saudi defense budget is huge, but also Pakistani and Turkish assistance/advisory could make this costly for Ansarallah in the long run.

Iran can choose to support Ansarallah with it's own strikes and having Iraqi factions strike at Saudi Arabia if it decides to. It doesn't appear so when looking at statements by Iranian foreign ministry and it also would be detrimental for Iran, not a hill worth dying on. That's why I say Iranian allies with limited resources need to understand their limitations and Iran also should be wary of directing them to attempt strategic moves. It is difficult if not possible at all as we saw with Hamas, Hezbollah, and in this case could be Ansarallah if this drags on.

Hezbollah strategic success was posing as a viable deterrent against any Israeli offensive on Lebanon + strikes on Iranian nuclear program. Or at least that's we were lead to believe.

Hamas was in its ability to strike the IDF southern division and making the Israeli southern Gaza envelope uninhabitable for a period of time by making residents there think twice about living there for at least 3-5 years. It did cost Gaza everything as opponents have immensely greater resources and capabilities.

Ayatullahs and mullahs aren't known to be rational actors.

They aren't but people can always evolve. Iran in my opinion was moving starting to move away from revolutionary foreign policy. Especially after developments in Syria where Assad regime was toppled. Right now due to the uncertainties of this war, that rationality may be thrown out the window to some extent. Iran was probably caught off guard by Hamas's Toofan Al-Aqsa operation but ironically those series of events made it more rational until recent war for survival due to Trump/Israeli policies.

Iran and Hezbollah have left Syria alone for good, for foreseeable future. Iran will then just focus on equipping Hezbollah to counter Israeli threat and also make it a deterrent force so Israel can think twice about attacking Iran. Arabs and Muslims benefit from that if done responsibly. Iran may help parties in Gaza re-arm to some extent to focus on pushing Israeli forces out in future. This is more long term and uncertain.

The controversial aspects are more related to Iran's activities in Iraq and to some extent Yemen. I think Yemen will return to pre-ceasefire status quo at some point and if deal is reached for regional war then Iran will move into more rational policy with Muslim neighbors.

Assumming there is no dooms day scenario where Trump heavily escalates attacks on Iran and Iran ends up with nothing to lose.

In end of day people can evolve and people should have reasonable levels of representation in government and local industries. People need to see a future and people of region need to start avoiding making all-encompassing threats which is making people panic and afraid of embracing change.

We also can say quiet part out loud, it's obvious Sunnis want Syria and believe it's theirs and Shia's want and have Iraq, believe it is there's. If it keeps both sides happy and puts sectarianism aside then so be it.

Let's heal and end these conflicts. Mecca Pact needs to take off because Arab and Muslim world desperately need to consolidate control over resources of MENA region for their foreseeable future. We are talking sources of water, fertile lands, natural resources (renewable energy /energy, minerals, gold and more).

^^

We cannot let China, Russia, USA or Europe take these over. They belong to Muslim world and for once we need to be selfish to secure our survival and future.

As a Arab Muslim I do not give a shit for China, Russia, EU or USA taking over what is rightfully ours. The MENA region is ours. The resources belongs to us. I am not saying let's be colonialists, no, we have the soft power and ethnic/religious bonds already. We are also centuries old victims of actual colonialism. These long standing ideological/ethnic disputes in region is hurting Muslim world so bad and outsider foreigners are pillaging resources of MENA region as a result.

We need Mecca Pact to evolve with more nations joining to salvage what we have left and take it back. I don't want France or China mining in our region and taking these precious resources. Nor USA, certainly not Israel. Cooperation is fine but them having absolute soverigenty over resources (due to undesirable conditions of host nations forcing them to sign contracts) is unacceptable.

You seemed to be confused with divided loyalties.....it was decided by the powers to be ( that includes Muslim countries ) right after hamas adventure that this proxy nonsense and non state actors must be wiped out.... step by step , methodically they are dealt with.... there's no room for hamas , Hezbollah, houthis and Iranian adventures.... Israel is a scarecrow for the Muslims , in reality it's small country who's scared about her survival in the long run... it's not the present capacity of her neighbours rather the potential capacity that Israel fears ..... MDA is a solid alignment and it will keep both Iran and Israel in check .... there will be peace in the middle east under the auspices of MDA and Palestinians will get the statehood.

Ansarallah are far more capable than people give them credit for. Ultimately, the control lines look a lot like the pre 1990 borders. That’s not a coincidence.

Saudi Arabia is not Israel. Pakistan and Turkey will send troops to held defend KSA but probably not to invade Yemen.

Patriot in the hands of Saudi air defense is an impregnable dam and combat-proven is unparalleled in history..

Ballistic missiles, drones and cruise missiles intercepted in every terrorist attack by Houthi militias

You seemed to be confused with divided loyalties.....
I am not confused with loyalty, I'm loyal to Allah (SWT) and his Messenger Mohammed Bin Abdallah (AS)

Different people can characterize Hamas's operation in different ways. As a Palestinian from Gaza I don't view it as adventure nor done on behalf of anyone, I believe Muslim world got terrified of Israeli/US propaganda in aftermath and potentially faced great pressure from the United States and others.
step by step , methodically they are dealt with.... there's no room for hamas , Hezbollah, houthis and Iranian adventures.... Israel is a scarecrow for the Muslims , in reality it's small country who's scared about her survival in the long run... it's not the present capacity of her neighbours rather the potential capacity that Israel fears .....
This is easier said than done. I also believe this is potentially your wishful thinking ? I don't believe the US and Israel are seeking to methodically eliminate Iran's proxies in region and Iranian regime itself. I believe they sold you (Muslim world) this while the true objective was ethnic cleansing of people of Gaza and potentially West Bank. Only Gaza was truly wiped out in this horrific genocide. Hezbollah stronghold in northern Lebanon or north of Litani river was largely spared and preserved. Iraqi factions proxies of Iran also were the most spared out of all in this conflict.

Ansarallah is also in a good position and was not targeted in this methodical sense you're speaking of. So be careful from trying to sell this narrative to delude people into playing along with genocide and ethnic cleansing of my people in Gaza Strip. We are not going to play along with this and our people will survive by the will of Allah.
MDA is a solid alignment and it will keep both Iran and Israel in check .... there will be peace in the middle east under the auspices of MDA and Palestinians will get the statehood.
Too early to say, it's step in right direction but will need to evolve and expand. I would rather Iranian's evolve and change their perspective of Sunni world rather than have to expend resources to 'contain it'.
