The point of Air defence isn't to stop everything but stop enough where the strategic cost is minimized as much as possible. The Israelis and Americans hit over a thousand targets in Iran with pinpoint accuracy, wiped out Iranian leadership, flew in, landed and rescued pilots in middle of Iran, does that mean Iran should dismantle it's air defense because there is no point?
