Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

This was the same guy who threatened Turkey and Pakistan with that interview which have now turned into a meme and few days later he asked Pakistan and Turkey to intermediate between them and the others fighting them etc etc and he become an advocat for peace overnight.. What happend and what changed?

Damn, that's a complete shift in tone from the one just a couple weeks ago. All the sudden he's so considerate and polite lol.

Maybe there is something actually shifting on the ground after all. I honestly can't take anything being posted on twitter seriously anymore from either side, no clue what the real picture is right now, way too many claims being thrown around with very little convincing evidence for my liking. But this 180 degree change in messaging might have something behind it.

The original source material is 3 to 4 years old, pulled from massive, heavily publicized military parades held in the Yemeni capital:
  • September 2022: The 8th anniversary parade of their takeover of Sana'a. This parade famously featured columns of armor-plated pickup trucks, machine-gun turrets, speedboats on flatbeds, and a giant model of an open Quran mounted to the back of a cargo truck. [1, 2]
  • September 2023: A massive follow-up parade celebrating the same anniversary. This broadcast showcased endless lines of tactical trucks, captured Saudi/Western-designed military vehicles, and long-range ballistic missiles rolling through Sabeen Square. [1]
Everything surrounding them is fake news. They could not take Marib in a 7 years offensive..

Ofcourse bro they are facing existential threat and they know it every well now.. Back in September they thought this was all just s flare-up and truce will return but they noticed the atmosphere is different and there forces have taken huge losses... They basically understood that they miscalculated. Insha-allah there is no path of ceasefire for them or no path of ever return..

Saudis really stepped on a mine in Yemen with their attack on Sanaa airport and restarting the war. Now Ansarallah reprisals against Saudi airports are resulting in cancellations and delays including potentially new prestige routes like direct flights from the US.

The more hits Saudis take coupled with announcements of cancelled or delayed international investments, the more severe is the pressure on MBS regime.

Couldn't have happened to nicer people.

You are completely mistaken here. There is no pressure on KSA and they are willing to take the occasional rocket fires which will decrease significiantly in the coming weeks. The Houthis will run out.

The Houthis have shown to be an enemy and has to be dealt with
