Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

I can’t figure out why Saudis haven’t figured out how to conduct an asymmetric warfare.
They gotta learn to tie their own shoes first without the help of the US, and workup their way from there. Baby steps.

Maybe this will finally be the wakeup call they needed, but I have my doubts.

Meanwhile, Ansar Allah forces are carrying out a broad flanking operation against the Saudi-loyal forces fighting in the Bab al-Mandab area, and Ansar Allah has already succeeded in liberating al-Khabakhab in the Mudhaffar directorate and Ras al-Arah.

According to incoming reports, the operation has so far resulted in heavy losses among the ranks of the Giants forces, after Ansar Allah succeeded in outflanking their positions and targeting their formations with intense and unprecedented shelling, inflicting significant casualties on them.

If Ansar Allah continues their advance along this axis, the outcome will be the encirclement of the attacking Giants forces in the Bab al-Mandab area from all directions, and the threat to their supply lines, which could lead to the collapse of their positions and their isolation from the rest of the Saudi-loyal forces.

Proof you cannot buy a military, you have to grow one.

There is not a single Saudi in all branches of Saudi army

The Saudi Army is an international gangb*ng, with Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Greek, Italian, Sudanese, American, Israeli, Jewkrainian and NATO operators who are majoritarily miscreants that oozes Islamophobia

Soviets in Afghanistan and the US in Afghanistan does Not teach the Saudis about fighting mountain men in mountains. Saudis military strategy is all wrong.

Saudis can bomb Houthis with planes , but you cannot control the ground with planes. Saudi Military needs to put boots the proper well trained brigades on the ground

Their most highly equipped and trained forces aren’t even the army it’s their royal guards ibut those forces are only to protect the royal family from dissent within they’re not sending their most highly trained men to fight the Houthis

The Brits had boots on the ground in Yemen. Then they too left.
Damn I had to look when the last time Britain had boots on the ground in Yemen late 60s 😆 I may not agree with sending Saudi forces into Yemen but if the Saudis were actually serious about confronting Houthis they would have to and they need a 2 or 3 hundred thousand troops between them and their allies to even attempt it with the territory the Houthis hold I don’t see them doing that

Probe launched into Saudi defence system failures after deadly Houthi attacks: AP

Saudi Arabia has launched an investigation to determine how its air defence systems failed to intercept a barrage of missiles and drones fired by the Houthis.

Two regional officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press (AP) the initial probe showed the armed group in Yemen first fired multiple drones to pave the way for a mix of cruise and ballistic missiles to reach Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport.

The AP reported that Houthis possess ballistic missiles and advanced systems fitted with warheads that can change direction during flight and pose a challenge to Patriot interceptors and other defence systems used by the Saudis.

One of the officials said the investigation also aims to find out why defence systems did not provide earlier warning of the attack, in which the Houthi missiles and drones flew more than 1,000km (620 miles) to reach Riyadh.
Large gaps in their systems and poor training money can’t buy real world experience
