I have never changed my initial prediction which is a houthi defeat.

But the bet you want is not logical it is like asking someone will messi miss that freekick or not. or how many seconds will it travel.

But instead ask me who will win the conflict or how will it end.. You can bet on these things.

You're expecting a lot from Yemeni people. They've been suffering from war for a long time and can't take on huge responsibility of taking on the world in same Hamas and Hezbollah, Palestinian and Lebanese couldn't.

The West is putting a lot of weight behind Israel and to prevail we'd need weight of entire Muslim world and it would still be a doomsday like scenario for Muslim world which is a bit scary.

Maybe not for us PDF members as we're somewhat psychopathic but for rest of normal population that would be a terrifying time to go through

As for Egypt. They wouldn't do more then deploy troops inside Saudi Arabia most likely as they did if I remember correctly in 2015. It's more designed to scare Houthi's in backing down though that's not to say if push came to shove a coalition wouldn't attack severely. We saw the whole world annihilate Gaza, UK, US and Israel were destroying everything in Gaza and assisting Israel militarily even with armed forces.

US then deployed aircraft carrier off Lebanese coast too. If Iran and others were given no choice we could see a doomsday scenario play out where Iran and others go all out but this is not appropriate in current situation.

Saudi's do not want the region to reach such a state neither do Qataris. Saudis just want status quo back in Yemen and some assurance. At least I think so

But even if Houthis are 'defeated' the yemenis are going back to civil war amongst themselves and houthis will resurface again.

The yemeni gov, various tribes and STC and al qaeda will only fight and kill each other while ansarallah rebuilds (if they are somehow defeated in the first place)

But lets watch and keep updated and see how it all plays out

I don´t think the Houtihs will ever make a comeback if they get defeated here as they will be hunted down like Assad´s followers. Around 10.000 arrests has been made in Syria. If even one of them was hiding cave in a lizard they will enter after him and throw the book at in a criminal court where he will stand no chance. The houthis will experience the same..

You will see arrests will continue for years perhaps even a decade where they hold trials against even an outpost sergant will face a trial on the grounds of war crimes
