We don't have Bill Clinton at the helm now. At the time of the Blackhawk Down incident, the SecDef was Les Aspin. Aspin was not one of the strongest SecDefs considering he served as a Captain in the Army. He was weak and indecisive in his role both of which led to the incident and subsequent withdrawal from Somalia.

If the Houthis were to manage to sink a Navy ship, odds are good there will be a wasteland where Yemen once stood.

Lol a wasteland? More so than Afghanistan? You bombed desteoyed mudhuts for 20+ years and went away running once your aircraft started "crashing" in Afghanistan.

In a few years the Houthis will be trying to lock onto American F18s and F35s, mark my words! If Putin keeps his word of "helping those we see in out interests to help" then that could be even sooner.

The US did not bomb Afghan cities and such. Go to Afghanistan and you will see well-established cities there that are certainly not created by Taliban groups in recent years. The operation in Afghanistan was COIN in large part and Al-Qaeda Network was defeated there for its global terror plots including 9/11. Putin needs Trump to rescue him from the disaster in Ukraine, there was a massive explosion in a Russian airbase not long ago. Not that I underestimate Russian war-fighting capacity but Russia is stuck in Ukraine because Ukraine is getting supplies from the US and European countries to handle Russian forces in war. Let's see what Houthi will do, these big claims are getting old. Hezbollah is broke and now there are protests in Gaza against Hamas. Literally no lesson is learned from death and destruction in multiple countries, just blind underestimation of the most powerful forces. Ask Japan what it looks like to be carpet bombed and have entire cities wiped out. Common sense is not testing big powers too much. There can be valid reasons to fight a war but Allah Almighty does not like corruption and arrogance which is the order of the day in these times.

I have been to one of those cities and flew over another. At no time did I see evidence of US destruction.

Again, the revisionism by some is strong.

Fkn Egypt is also complicit as they allowed the US war ships to sail through Suez Canal to attack Houthis targets and murder Arab Yemenis.
