In 15 months, the Navy fired more air defense missiles than it did in the last 30 years

During combat operations in the Red Sea, the Navy fired so many air defense missiles that it drained the service’s stockpile of munitions. So, it turned to 5-inch gun rounds to down drones.

In January, the Navy revealed that it had fired nearly 400 munitions since October 2023 as part of combat operations in the Red Sea, including 120 SM-2 missiles, 80 SM-6 missiles, and a combined total of 20 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missiles (ESSM) and SM-3 missiles. The per unit cost for these missiles is between $12.5 and $28.7 million for SM-3s, about $4.3 million per SM-6, and up to $2.5 million per SM-2, according to The War Zone.
I am a neutral observer in this theme but I shall point out that this narrative is questionable. The Heritage Foundation is pushing this narrative because some in the US are of the view that the US Navy should not use costly missiles to intercept drones. The war has its costs but Pentagon has not panicked because the US Navy has over 12000 SM-2 missiles in its inventory and the US is manufacturing SM-6 missiles. However, it is true that the US Navy will introduce low-cost munitions to engage drones:

Houthi (Ansar Allah) have shown considerable anti-ship capability and compelled many shipping companies to change course and use Cape Route to reach European ports. However, conflict situation in Red Sea does not affect the US but Europe and Yemen in large part. The US saw an opportunity to test its technology in this conflict situation and the US Navy have amassed invaluable learning experience and data.

Although JD Vance is of the view that the US should not bail out thankless Europe in this conflict situation without concessions.

Illusions of Autonomy: Why Europe Cannot Provide for Its Security If the United States Pulls Back

12,000 SM-2s are the total number of missiles purchased by 2023. In fact, the news source of this data mentioned that the total number of Tomahawk missiles purchased in the same period reached 9,000,due to the use of wear and tear and scrapping, the actual inventory by 2020 is only 4,000.
If the SM-2 wear and tear is similar, it means that the inventory is only 45% of the purchase amount, which cannot even guarantee that the US Navy's VLS will be fully filled.

It is worth noting that training is also provided, in addition, 2,800 have already been used in flight tests. An unknown number were used for training, others lost due to wear and tear and retirement. Without taking into account that all the stock will not be able to be taken to the theater and replenish the VLS.

The US Navy retired older variants of Tomahawk and reserved some for training purpose, this is why the total count of Tomahawk available for combat is said to be 4250 in the present but this is the count that is publicly admitted. SM-2 stockpile is much larger in comparison but the US is creating low-cost munitions to intercept drones such as Coyote and Roadrunner. These think tanks are more concerned than Pentagon which is fair enough or a pressure tactic on the American MIC to do a better job but a military force has many moving parts and munition types and a war is unlikely to consume all types of munitions and production volume can be changed if necessary.

For perspective, the US has used a total of 47 Tomahawk in strikes on ISIS elements in the Middle East but US-led forces have conducted thousands of strikes on ISIS elements in the Middle East (Operation Inherent Resolve). Therefore, Tomahawk are used selectively and on high value targets mostly. And as noted above, a military force has many moving parts and munition types to fight a war. American capacity to fight a war is massive to be honest. No country fights on the level of the US.

Narrated Ibn `Umar:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen." The People said, "And also on our Najd." He said, "O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Sham (north)! O Allah! Bestow Your blessings on our Yemen." The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! And also on our Najd." I think the third time the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There (in Najd) is the place of earthquakes and afflictions and from there comes out the side of the head of Satan.
"
Najd is the region where the roots of the Al Saud family and the Wahhabi religion come from.

the US did a lot of harmful things in the region but we shouldn't blame them for everything, there are a lot of extremists in the region that don't need any excuse to exist and oppress people
The USA is now fully controlled by the racist zionists. Those racist zionists are evil demons, not human beings.
