Yemen Civil War News and Discussion.. an evolving situation

That, or the Houthis are giving the appearance US airstrikes are working. I've no doubt the strikes are; we are good at hitting specific targets. Yet, to think we've accomplished through conventional means what others in the region haven't been able to is a stretch.

Would need to see substantive evidence Houthi offensive capability has been degraded.

The houthis are resilient, they represent a people and they are entrenched, unless they a removed they will just keep hitting back again and again, and the Arabs don't want to push for a land invasion, nor does their puppet have the ability to remove the houthis

Also, there is strong evidence out there that the Carrier strike group named USS Truman, which has been striking Houthis, was damaged and is currently out of service (being repaired at a Saudi port)...i'm seeing pictures of the Truman AC and the arrival of the CSG Carl Vinson to the Red Sea supports that theory that the USS Truman was damaged from fighting Houthis and is currently out of service.

At this rate US will not have more than 2 or 3 ACs active in the world. Just sayin...

The hopium is strong with you. There’s zero evidence the Truman has been hit, and the Vinson carrier group deployment to CENTCOM was planned for weeks.

Yeah this was back in February. The Houthis haven’t hit any USN ship, much less the Truman
