May I ask for a source of this M2.5 quote? Please not again Minnie Chan and the SCMP! And the fact that maybe the DSI is capable to work at up to (what I don't believe) does not mean the aircraft itself is rated for such a speed since there are much more issues than benefits at such high speeds especially for RAM-coating, CFK-materials and so on.
