The only way to hide it is to use extremely remote airforce bases in Inner Mongolia or Uighur Autonomous Province … right?
Because most other bases are within or nearby towns and population centers.

The problem is, such bases do not exist in that area for teting hyper-secret special systems; the main test-base is the CFTE at first at Xi'an-Yanliang, where the bomber is also built and the at the FTTC at Cangzhou-Cangxian and/or Dingxin (in fact the most likely base for the H-20). Just look at the B-21 it too is super-secret and still being tested regularly at Edwards AFB.

But plain and simple: The H-20 isn't ready yet and as such there is nothing yet to test or to speculate about a "extremely remote airforce bases in Inner Mongolia or Uighur Autonomous Province".

But now to the topic, since the H-20 is irrelevant here:

Is there a reason, why this year the aircraft are being delivered so late? Last time in 2022 they arrived much earlier (almost 14 days before opening the show)??

Exactly
Even with remote base yould need production halls in that base. Or else the aircraft have to produced elsewhere and then trasported to the remote base. In that case almost impossible to prevent someone taking pictures or footage.
 
One of most exciting items in the previous airshow was the revealing of CH-6 Drone.
Havent heard much about it and how development is going, since then.

I don't quite understand why you guys think it's hard to hide H-20 from public.

China is very different from U.S., you can't hide any secret military projects in U.S. for a long time literally. But China may be able to do that.

Both H-20 and DF-41 are strategic weapon systems. H-20 is a top secret project, so it's necessary to keep it out of the public eye.

Assembling one or two prototypes requires very limited factory space, and test flight can be done in the midnight.

According to 杨伟 Yang Wei (aircraft designer), "H-20 development is going well, and he supposes H-20 project is faster than B-21"

My assumption is that there are at least several prototypes already and test flights have been done for multiple times.

I will stop here since it's off-topic a little bit.

Zhuhai airshow is mature, thus less preparation is needed I suppose.

Another factor is U.S. election, there is more than enough China Threat Topic in the quadrennial show.

Those aircraft and weapons should arrive on 7th Nov. (Beijing Time) when the hilarious US show ends in the midnight of 5th(US time zone), that's my guess.

China can do that long time ago if necessary, that's my opinion. H-20 is not in a hurry until Y-20, J-20 were all finished.
