also, the sunnis are in majority. the assad regime is neither a representative of the people nor a muslim regime. hope they and their iranian masters meet a bitter end,
Syrian army and generals and ministers of defence have always been majority Sunni (80%+). I think all agree that Assad must go and the governing system in Syria must be reformed, however that should happen in a regional framework and by dialogue, not by sectarian savages (HTS/"Ex"-Al-Qaeda). These terrorists form a direct danger for the stability of Iraq and Lebanon.

You know there are civilians there, right? How are you any different than zionists? Taking joy in "flattening everything"...

The Assad regime and their defenders lost all credibility early in the Syrian conflict when they started dropping barrel bombs on civilians...

No one is "taking any joy" out of civilians being harmed.

RuAF just wants to get at the rebels and unfortunately it does not care whether it also hits civilians as well.

There is no political and military objective in hitting civilians at all - in fact it makes things harder for Assad/Russia but they calculate that the benefits of wiping out the rebels are more than the harm from killing civilians.

It is simple cold hard logic for Assad/Putin at play.

It's obviously too complex a situation for tou to understand. As @UKBengali pointed out, nobody is taking joy in the loss of civilian lives, but unfortunately we are dealing with beasts that must be eradicated for peace to be maintained in the region......
