Pakistan has successfully conducted a training launch of the indigenously developed Fateh-II missile system, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Tuesday. The launch was carried out by the Army Rocket Force Command and formed part of routine training and operational preparedness. According to ISPR, the missile system is equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigational aids, designed to improve accuracy and survivability in operational conditions.

The military’s media wing said the purpose of the launch was to train troops, validate technical parameters and assess the performance of various sub-systems incorporated into the missile. Senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command and Pakistan Army witnessed the exercise, along with scientists and engineers from strategic organisations.
The successful training fire was praised by the forum overseeing the launch, which commended the progress made in the Fateh series. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, as well as the services chiefs, also appreciated the technical expertise, dedication and commitment of all those involved in the missile’s development and launch.
The latest test reflects Pakistan’s continued focus on strengthening its indigenous defence capability and maintaining credible conventional deterrence. It also follows a series of recent missile-related developments by the armed forces, including earlier launches under the Fateh series and recent naval missile tests, highlighting the country’s emphasis on precision strike systems and self-reliance in defence technology.
