Yes, we sympathise with him for his incarceration on trumped up charges, particularly when the Sharifs are no less corrupt and are actually more corrupt than him. We even continued to muster support for him up to a point. He hadn't said or ordered anything palpably harmful to the nation despite his grievances.
For him to now play with the very unity of the nation as some sort of...well I don't know...is it a Hail Mary strategy to try and induce anarchy??? - whatever the reason, this diabolical behaviour is completely indefensible. He is already posturing to be some Navalny-type martyr. However, one must note that Navalny's passing went largely unnoticed. Neither Russians nor his western backers batted an eyelid when he finally expired.
