There is a theory that IK wanted the COAS Mir Bajwa to help him rig and win a mid-term polls in 2021-22 timeframe in return for giving him a third term as COAS. While Jarnail sab was game for a third time, he balked at the idea of rigging another polls for Kaptaan sb. This is what caused a fallout between the two and then the whole regime change drama etc. But again, this is only a theory, no one can prove or disprove it.

It is not a theory. It is a fact! This was nothing but old power play between a PM and the top military brass. Nothing new. Nothing to do with America. Please see my message below.

You claim Imran Khan was too afraid to call early elections but the record shows otherwise. In April 2022 when the no confidence motion was tabled, IK dissolved the National Assembly and explicitly called for fresh elections.

I stopped reading your message after that because you obviously don't know that once an NCM is tabled then the National Assembly cannot be dissolved. Tells me how much you Imran supporters know about about 'democracy'.

Imran had the time into early 2022 to call for Early Elections but he knew he would lose the elections as Pakistani people, impatient as always, wanted quick results from him and didn't see those. So sometime between October 2021 and early 2022, Imran tried very hard to make General Bajwa lean on politicians to not abandon him but Bajwa didn't oblige him. One could benefit from reading Dawn.com from those months to see what kind of machinations were going on and how the Opposition, once realized that Bajwa was really not going to oblige Imran, rushed into tabling the NCM before Imran could dissolve the National Assembly and call for Early Elections.

Go ahead, Imran supporters: Read Dawn.com archive from those months!! You guys are not supporting 'democracy': You are supporting a cult leader who absolutely didn't and doesn't believe in 'democracy' at all.

What was the cipher then? Go read The Intercept’s article on the leaked document. If you think they just made it up then take them to court in the U.S. instead of repeating propaganda while sitting abroad and cheering on oppression against Pakistanis. Don’t try to mislead people when you clearly don’t understand what actually happened. Bajwa leaned on American support to push regime change because in Pakistan no such move happens without international powers behind it. And the same goes for your favorite dictator Asim Munir who won't last a month without foreign support propping him up.

Same recycled rubbish again...no point in writing another long reply you won’t bother reading while you keep pushing a made up narrative just to justify regime change because of your hatred for IK.
So let me put it simply, if Imran Khan is really as unpopular and irrelevant as you people claim, then release him and hold free, fair elections. Beat him at the ballot box to humiliate him politically so PDM/Asim Munir can finally claim the legitimacy and stability they need. But the fact that your favorite dictator is terrified of the elections says it all.

What was the cipher then?

Was the cipher ever actually released by IK when he had the authority? All we have are his claims, which were clearly shown to be only self-serving with a particular aim in mind, and we all saw that strategy fail miserably.

Yes the cipher was presented to the entire cabinet, journalists were also briefed at the PM House and Pakistan even issued a demarche to the U.S. over interference.

More like his own party members turned on him during VONC.

The entire fiasco did Pakistan a huge favour.

Afghan refugees are being deported. taliban are being held accountable for their attrocities in Pakistan over the last 20 years.

Strong relations with the big 3, China, Russia, US.

Defect pact with Saudi.

Asim Munir v Faiz as army chief. Fauj is in excellent hands.

Pakistanis should be very grateful.

All that was "presented" was a piece of paper waved around without ever revealing what was actually written in it. To anyone.

Did we get stability or more chaos? Perhaps deporting Afghans may bring peace, but so far, the situation is the same.
The SA defence pact so far hasn't brought any material resources to Pak. SA is also signing this with the US.
We had good relations with China and Russia already.
Many foreign companies have already left Pak. We are selling our assets (PIA+minerals). There is a wheat shortage after the flood, especially for the next year.

you are probably referring to the paper IK waved at a rally, I'm talkin about the official cabinet meeting where the cipher was reviewed and when journalists were invited at the PM house. The Intercept published the entire cipher and to this day it has never been legally challenged in Pakistan or in the US and you know publishing fake documents in Amreeka could bankrupt a newspaper overnight.

when it comes to denial people can deny anything, there were even those who claimed IK wasn't shot in the leg and was just acting. The best example would be Gaza, the whole world watched the genocide live streamed and the Zionists still denied killing civilians at all.

You're forgetting 8 months prior to the VONC the PTI govt had become very unpopular.

I would say the first 90 days of were good with big plans and announcements but then after you could tell he got lazier and lazier. Until he started arriving at gatherings under prepared and under dressed and started freestyling his speeches.

lets be real brother, as we all know illegitimate dictators and governments require foreign support to stay in power because nobody accepts them at home. Asim Munir is clinging to power through Donald Trump by trading Pakistan's moral and ideological stances like Palestine and offering lollipops such as crypto currency and minerals.
Trump is also using him as leverage against India and as a tool in the middle east because for the Americans Israel always comes first. Pakistan's foreign policy is literally a Trump appeasement policy, and the fools falling for Asim Munir's power retention tactics disguised as foreign policy will face a rude awakening when Trump leaves office and the USA shifts back to appeasing India.

Pakistan is in this mess because of colonial mentality, don't you dare insult our traditional dress f@jeet.

The Intercept published the entire cipher

It did NOT, only certain excerpts, selectively, and even that was certainly not verified. IK had the opportunity to set the record straight, but he chose not to do so because it would have exposed his lies about the entire matter.

The cabinet minutes were never published, and press briefing was just more spin aimed at serving IK's goal of desperately trying to hold on to power.

He failed totally and miserably.

there were even those who claimed IK wasn't shot in the leg and was just acting.

He was shot, certainly. (IK's physician is a personal friend, and I respect him for his expertise and trustworthiness.)
