A 10-member provincial cabinet picked by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on Friday took the oath of office, along with two advisers and one special assistant.

According to a statement from the KP government, the cabinet’s swearing-in ceremony took place at the Governor’s House in Peshawar.

“KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi administered the oath,” the statement said. “Those sworn in as provincial ministers included Meena Khan Afridi, Arshad Ayub Khan, Amjad Ali, Aftab Alam Afridi, Fazal Shakoor Khan, Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Riaz Khan, Syed Fakhar Jahan, Aqibullah Khan and Faisal Khan.

“KP Governor Kundi congratulated the newly sworn-in provincial ministers and expressed his best wishes to them,” it added.

According to an earlier summary sent to the KP governor by the provincial government, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, CM Afridi had selected his cabinet members, while also picking Muzammil Aslam and Taj Muhammad as advisers, and Shafi Jan as a special assistant.

Imran Khan’s slogan of "Tabdeeli" was all about bringing lasting change or reforms after overthrow of the old guard. That overthrow never materialized on the ground because the military establishment once again sided with the old guard (PDM) and used their loyalty to imprison the new guard instead; Imran Khan himself.

What you stating is bloody change management. Do we agree on that?

I only agree with "change management" after the change has already occurred such as after a bloody revolution—when old guard is replaced with a new one. This never occurred in case of Imran Khan because military establishment instead sided with the old guard (PDM) as usual.

Only, you can’t defeat this "rabble" in any free & fair election anymore and thus require form 47 by the help of military establishment to come into power.

Labeling them a rabble is nothing more than dismissing the majority itself. That majority has always stood with civilian leadership. Quaid e Azam, Bhutto, Nawaz, and then Imran Khan. But again and again Washington’s parachuted dictators hijack the people’s will and auction off Pakistan’s national interests for a stamp of approval from foreign powers.

Before I used to think Pakistani intuitions are corrupt, they are .... but now I realized all govt institution can be fixed , if our Grade 22 military employees stop interference in govt department.

Nothing ever happens. Pakistan will be ruled by the army till the world ends. After Munir, another Mard e Momin will come and then another. Each will rule Pakistan through a proxy government where the praise goes to the military and the fault will lie in the civil PMs hands.

In this way, they'll be able to wipe their hands on every screw up and stay in power unchallenged.

Even in Punjab where anyone who questioned the army was once branded a traitor has changed, now people sitting in baithaks openly abuse the generals and the institution itself.
