Old Man's Corners

I had one. Leaked in my shirt pocket. :-(
You had a Dollar inkpot in your pocket??!!
Annual wellness exam is the afternoon. Besides an odd ache in my neck and right shoulder, want to discuss with the doctor my toxic masculinity. Have heard not many men have it.
In all seriousness, I do have an odd ache in my neck and right shoulder that extends down my arm.

You are in the forum thread to discuss these!! I hope you feel better very soon!

At the time I did that, I wasn't too smart. Have gained lots of experience since then. Good judgement being the result of bad judgement.

I think part of the issue is the way I sleep and possibly the pillow I use. Again, will discuss with the doctor this afternoon.

Related note.

Open enrollment for Medicare is underway. UHC has decided to drop the plan I am currently on. No surprise really. Mrs. AZ says that is common throughout the insurance industry.

Had a call with my Medicare insurance specialist yesterday. Based on my current situation (low maintenance, no prescription drugs), she recommended an alternative PPO plan offered by Humana. Not only is my primary care physician and eye doctor in the plan, so is my dentist. The UHC plan he wasn't.

@Meengla , you've got a lot to look forward to when it comes to signing up for Medicare.

Oh!!! And, from the Department of Government Inefficiency, Medicare advised in my portal they FINALLY mailed me an invoice for the upcoming quarter. Never mind I've had Part A and B for 10 months now. They are supposed to mail an invoice quarterly. Have yet to receive one. So I have a calendar entry to login to Medicare.gov to see what the current bill is and pay it on line at Pay.gov. Which I did yesterday.

I am still five years from Medicare! But sounds like you got a better plan with Vision and Dental included, right??
Honestly, though I just qualified for this thread, I have been very healthy all my life: No 'known' medical condition, never had a surgery, never a day in any hospital, no aches and pains, still able to lift and carry 40 pound bag of birdseed 100 yards to my shed, was fine at the Deosai National Park at 13,700 ft walking around. So I don't pay much attention to medical issues except I am worried about my Healthcare.gov option which will be very expensive if the subsidies go away.

Overall, yes, I do believe I did. Some of the copays are a little higher. But those are for services I typically don't use so no worries there.

The overall out of pocket is a bit higher as well but I've yet to see where the OOP is lower without paying for it up front.

I would prefer not to dwell on Healthcare.gov. Some of us were quite vocal that when the subsidies finally ended people were going to be upset. The subsidies were originally scheduled to end during covid. Due to so many people being at home because of the shutdowns, Congress elected to extend them.

And now, here we are. At the end of the road.

So, Game 6 is tonight in Toronto. The Canadians are ready to party if the Blue Jays close it out tonight.

Given your situation, yes, no worries.

I don't think I was abusing Healthcare.gov: Lost job to DOGE and thus the employer provided health care. Much to be said about subsequent experiences but will leave it at that.

You probably aren't nor am I implying as much.

What a lot of people failed to realize is the whole program was built and sold on subsidies that were set to expire. That was the part they didn't say out loud nor are they admitting it now.

It's a damn shame. People are blaming the wrong people, again, for the latest predicament.

So daylight savings time has started. NFL starts 1 hour later for me. 10pm to 11pm now.

Any F1 fan? Next week is Brazilian GP. WDC is extremely interesting now. Let's see if Max can pull this off.
