Who got nightmares can be seen by the rush to buy F-16Vs and Eurofighters ever since we got Rafale,started upgrading to F-16V and ever since the Israelis started pounding half the region. That became apparent with Erdogan's obsession to meet Biden and get F-16s,then going back to Putin erratically to talk about Su-35s,then back to Biden,then to the Germans and British for Eurofighter,even to the French just to be rejected,then back to the British,Germans,Spanish,Italians.

Turkey is acquiring Eurofighters b/c there is an interim solution needed as F-35s were supposed to replace old airframes as the F-35 which was the original plan, became an issue.

No the nightmare is from the Greeks being upset at their irrelevance, failing to convince the French to block Meteors. Being upset with Germans wanting to add Turkey to EU defense fund.

Each year that passes, Turkey's position in the regional dynamics improves and increases. Which is making Komşu lose his mind.

You seem to have forgotten all the back and forth between Biden and Putin a few years ago. Erdogan trying desperately to get a meeting with Biden,returning from USA with nothing,then going to Putin while implying Turkey is interested in Su-35,Su-57,Russian submarines and maybe more S-400s. Then coming back again empty-handed. Then going back to the Americans and asking F-16Vs again. Getting nothing in return and asking the Brits and Germans for Eurofighters.

The Su-57 was looked at but then after much deliberation they came to the conclusion that its not worth it, as they didn't know abotu performance and it still wasn't ready back then, and they went with KAAN as they felt it would be a better choice.. Similar conclusion to Indians deciding to leave FGFA.

Su-57s were the only things looked at, and it was offered but Turkey didn't take it. Su-35s were never considered. Russians may have offered, but thats very different from Turkey asking for Su-35s in any formal capacity. Erdogan here is just commenting on that he didn't object to non western paltforms.
