Turkish Air Force | News & Discussions

Su-57s were the only things looked at, and it was offered but Turkey didn't take it. Su-35s were never considered. Russians may have offered, but thats very different from Turkey asking for Su-35s in any formal capacity. Erdogan here is just commenting on that he didn't object to non western paltforms.
Man,have the balls to finally admit something instead of beating around the bush, come on. First it was "lol why would Turkey even" ...I showed you, then you were like "lol show me a statement from a turkish official",I showed you...you're still acting like "no,not really that,but...the other..."

I'm not saying Turkey was 100% intending to buy either of them, although with Erdogan you never know,I'm showing you it happened. You forgot, you made fun of me for saying that and you're still beating around the bush.

Turkey was never going to buy Su-35s. Su-57 was discussed as it was next gen tech, and even that was decided against as TAI felt that on the timeline Russians were saying it would be ready for export, Turkey would more or less have the first batch of KAAN ready, plus there were questions about its stealthyness.

it broke apart midair, which leads me to believe that it wasn't engine failure, and even with engine failure 4 engines make it quite redundant, maybe something exploded on the place that it was transporting, causing a fuselage rupture.

Looks like engine blade may have come loose and cut the fuselage. It's happened before on C-130 models.
