Pakistan UAVs News & Discussions

Babus just copied Israeli ROC-X
We don't have the luxury of reinventing the wheel. So, If it works, it works.
Naqal keliyay bhi aqal chaheeyay (Since English is the forum language: You need intelligence to even copy).

ROC-X is a small man-portable, hand-launched thing, which has ducted units to protect the user at (I'm sure) an efficiency penalty. Our babus just made it bigger and made a really bad VTOL. The design makes no sense. Things like ease of production, local capacity, local design choices and needs be damned. Just like we copied Stormbreaker even though it makes little sense for Pakistan to operate something that high tech.

Any reason for PAF not investing heavily in high end UAVs like HALE ISR drone, AI based stealth UCAV but instead buying a lots of different basic platforms like wl2, anka...

Remember that POF Corner-Shot thing?

you should make one
Folks need to modify and update what they've learnt at the school of infantry and tactics. Now, the "close quarter" combat has been extended to few kilometers, thanks to these fatal tactical drones that come in plethora of kinds and degrees. It's a matter of existential threat for the infantry detachments. The Russia-Ukraine War has shown how WW1-style "industrial level" mass slaughter has returned with full force and valor....

Good news for the Pak forces: the Hindutva hates death for to them it's like defeat. Therefore, they abandon 2k km2 of their lands after losing 20 soldiers. And, they ground their 800 a/c strong AF after losing 8 jets. And, they rush to the Super Boss* as they lose 35 years of their reputation after being punished with 3.5 hours of missile attack.....

*In the mafia tradition, if a Boss asks for help from another Boss the former one is basically gone.

The biggest take on the evolution of drone warefare from the Ukraine war is the fact that vast majority of the kamikaze drone (mostly fpv) attacks carried out by both sides have largely failed due to the intense jamming that is in place by both the sides.
So now majority of the attacks are carried out by wire guided fpv drones mostly n in other cases by swarm attacks where a few inspite of jamming have been found to successfully carried out attacks
PA has learned this lesson n is employing wire guided/optic fiber operated drones....but in wt nos. That only a conflict will tell

Man i wish we should have something like Rubicon Drone Centre of the Russian Army

Attack and defense are always in a spiraling, upward development.
The weapons and tactics of current warfare are not suitable for the battlefield of the future.
The true protagonist of war is Human. Human's ability to react quickly in wartime is the core element of victory.

According to reports from some professional observers of the Russia-Ukraine battlefield, the situation has significantly improved after Russia introduced portable civilian AESA radars and civilian laser defense systems from China. These inexpensive civilian defense systems are very effective against small suicide UAVs/FPVs (including wireless and fiber-optic controlled), and the interception cost is extremely low.

🤦‍♂️

It costs less then 10k PKR a year to get a domain. If we're going to position ourselves for the export market these small things matter big time.
My brother, even PAC Kamra uses gmail for classified data because their domain goes down sometimes (a lot) lol.

i noticed, alot of gids products are being divested to random new startups.

i have a sneaky suspicion this is babu's method to create the illusion of a varied defense industry...
