if an iraqi sale is to occur, its tied to a sale of shahpar 2, i did say a while back that a shahpar contract was to be signed soon, that perhaps a jf17 order will follow...they just went silent thus far, maybe it was signed, i just didnt follow up on the discussion

Actually there was some news of them buying Shahpar 2s a few weeks back that kind of went under the radar as people were questioning its authenticity, the source was an Iraqi news website quoting the Iraqi defence minister.

Actually there was some news of them buying Shahpar 2s a few weeks back that kind of went under the radar as people were questioning its authenticity, the source was an Iraqi news website quoting the Iraqi defence minister.

this was from a chat with gids, i believe it was like 4-5 months ago they we're nearing the signature of a contract, but ofc no mention of the jf-17, but it was always tied together as a package so would make sense

The man brought results. Hes going to be plastered everywhere as a result. It is the common song and dance in pakistan after even a hint of victory. I do not mind him if he remains competent at his duties

But why go for shahpar 2 when shahpar 3 is close to entering service. I do not know delivery and service timelines myself but wouldnt it be better for the iraqis to wait longer instead
