An Indian Tejas fighter jet crashed during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show

Something happened just before it started flying inverted. As it went to dive right away .

Either on board computer reset or halted..

May be Flybywire got disrupted. There was no attempt to gain height again. Nose position don't show sign of going up again. It seems It had enough speed not not to stall however depend on what angle of turn it took

Do note it has good surface area for lift sander delta wings.

From video it's hard to see if it changed 70 degree or 90 degree or even 90+ degree turn to make it stall or not.

Don't look good.

Regardless of his nationality, he was a pilot to the very end and was carrying out his duties. Rest in peace to the pilot and condolences to his loved ones.

Yes, let's be civil about it. And maybe the pilot intentionally crashed into unpopulated place, in which case a noble death.
But this is REALLY bad for Indian Airforce's morale and image. Nothing less than the Last Ball Sixer that Javed Miandad did in the Sharjah Cup Final in 1986 which had stunned the Indian cricket for a decade.

Condolences to the pilot,

This was bound to happen the plane was not maintained, it’s a terrible design and it was leaking oil. Yet the Indians still flew it.

Pretty sure this was done to buy more rafales as no Air Force would ever buy an aircraft that has had two crashes and is not even operational

Kv

Foreign nations should start banning iaf from displays utterly unprofessional air force. Thats a hazard to not just india but others as well. How long before another crash that kills more people on the ground

Imagine that over 25,000+ visitors including foreigners, suppliers, aviation enthusiasts, youtube audiences, and thousands of tourists witnessing this Tejas crash in real time - bright clear weather with orange blasts.

The pilot was completely reckless, despite his experience. He even tried to engage the afterburner to gain extra acceleration to undo the mess he made in the maneuver, but he was unsuccessful.

Yes some not so good flying. He came down, gained speed, then for whatever reason, increased the angle of attack so lost the speed again, tilted the aircraft on its side possibly turning as well so bleeding more speed, then instead of leveling off pointed down inverted. No sense of that sequence.....

He turned a right bank into a roll and he is rapidly descending during the roll itself. This is pure speculation but it is possible the pilot recognised a failure while banking, it was not a good position to eject so he tried to bleed energy through a roll, or at least tried to get into a favourable position through the roll. Unfortunately by the time the aircraft was in the right position, he was nearly at ground level. At that point, a ballistic ejection might not have saved him and possibly thrown him into the wreckage. It was a really bad situation to be in as a pilot.

That said, I call out to all those showing ‘brotherhood’ to the Indians when the Tejas aborted its flight in the last show. Instead of giving them a bl*wjob if we had called out the maintenance failure at that time, we might not be seeing this situation today. Indian quality control is as much to blame as the people who placate and support their bloated egos.

And so I will call a spade a spade. The Tejas is a failure. It’s a failure of Indian vision, Indian project management, Indian design, Indian manufacturing, Indian quality control, and in general, the Indian ethos. The Indians should stop embarrassing themselves by gloating about ‘it never had a single crash throughout development’. It didn’t crash because you didn’t push it enough. When you don’t stress your product in development, it gives you stress in production. We welcome the very public busting of your virgin crash cherry.

And finally. I told you so. Motherf*ckers I got banned for telling you so. So today I will piss upon your parade and enjoy my validation.

Post you won't ever see on any Indian forum if this happened to a PAF aircraft
Anyways sad news and a very sad video of the crash

Right.
I recall a story about World War II: When someone in the West complained about the carpet bombing of Dresden by the Allies, the answer given was 'Well, the Nazis did the same in the London Blitz'. To which reply given 'We don't take our examples from the Devil'.
