why?

Khan was never a puppet though his life he fingered people in power ... be it in cricket, politics or international affairs.
Considering he conspired with the army brass to destabilize previous civilian governments he should know better

I appreciate your effort to pull the information together. However, I don't think a demonstration on one occasion which led to Police/Rangers shooting of 10-14 demonstrators exactly fits the "mass murder" rhetoric being pushed around.

As a contrast, Do you know how many people died in the Qadiani Masla, MRD movement, or the Pucca Qila demonstration? The last one, more than 100 demonstrators were killed by the police under the orders of then Sind government in a single demonstration.

I empathize that the loss of even one Pakistani demands justice and iA we too will see those responsible being held accountable one day, however we mustn't allow rhetoric to be used to paint Pakistan as mass murdering its citizens (as in Myanmar etc.). This is patently not the case, thank heavens!
I hope there can be a transparent inquiry so that we may know. The government should be in the driving seat for the investigation if somebody is blaming it disproportionately.

Yes, I know. Perhaps the number was way higher in those incidents. Why those events didn't trigger that much is surely a separate discussion.

Let's see how heads will roll in future. Staring with Faiz is an ice breaker.

I dont have the powers to do anything, You might have.

So please, lets not single out one person or party, if we really have good intentions behind these forceful discussions, we should talk about everyonces crimes, and in my jail POV there is no one innocent in Pakistan, whoever has a little power, they abuse it.

I know all of you are much much more smarter and intelligent than me.

in our history wrongs were done in past and being done in present to, but we are busy with defending and acusing the same players, playing the same game/

This is what they want us to do, keep us fighting with eachother and they keep doing what they are doing..

Now there should be point to start course correction and take first step. PMLN or PPP or PTO or whatever political party none is innocent, each one is more coroupt then the other, and by involving themselves in political engineering my own Army is also guilty.

one defending PMLN other PTI next Army blindly ignoring the otherside, its sad and intellectual dishonesty and insult to own self, and we are happy......there is a saying in Punjabi....making your own cheek red by slapping...cant remember exact punjabi words.

Main point is, We educated people should stop behaing like retards and defend one criminal over other, there is no win in it like that, it is an insult for us to be so low to defend one criminal over the other.

I am sorry for wasting your time, and I hope I was able to get my point across.

Thank You.

In Pakistan educated or non educated have the same mentality, everyone blind follows their leaders. Its just the way the nation thinks and behaves. In the small villages its the same mentality, everyone tries to worship the local MNA, defends his/her wrong actions to the grave, the same way all political parties blindfollow their local and national leaders, whatever narrative they promote they follow it. PTI, Pmln, PPP, the mullahs, all of them do it. The reason is benefit, dosti yaari, connections, I scratch your back and you scratch mine, forget about the poor and needy, or what is right and wrong, or about Pakistan. What is the solution when majority are like this, the one who speaks to truth will be walking alone, its like baradari rolas, anyone who points faults of both sides, then explains to them what is right and how to fix everything will be attacked by both sides, both sides want complete blind loyalty. I have witnessed people who go on haj and come back and play dirty baradari politics. If an honest person admits his mistake, he will be attacked and sidelined by the corrupt harami baradari people. I have mentioned this many times, it starts from the baradaris, to the local level, then to the national level. People with degrees also do it, they just do it in a different fashion.

If Pakistanis want a change then let's start by a few simple actions like following traffic rules, queue up in shops, keep Pakistan clean, then move on to complete rejection of bribery and corruption. Let's see if people do it, let me tell you, you will be on your own and your rival will take advantage and screw you over.

Then the present system is likely to carry on just fine.
Though we can survive on Western crumbs but they are themselves struggling these days. IMF's few billion $ and SA's oil each year on deferred payments can at least keep us afloat, but it is not fine. I bet you have seen the IMF report. 5-6% of our GDP goes to corruption.

This type of leakage is not sustainable by any mathematical law, as our export is similar to that (5-6% of 373 billion dollars is 19 billion $). All the corruption money goes back to the West.

If the policy is to stay afloat, then by definition it is also just fine.

Nah, I was just messing with you. CCTV footage of May 9th riots exist. It was shared by defense minister for like a year ago:

This is what happens when crowds are charged with emotional statements, we will do this and that if IK is touched etc. Army knows alot of Pti leadership emotionally charged their followers to attack government and army places, in order to scare the army, but as usual people think of themselves to be too powerful than they are. Also if you look online, people of PDF, twitter, even in person were encouraging army to overthrow senior generals, calling for a mutiny and the rest. When ISI chief Najdeem Anjum gave live briefing, all Pti were mocking he is scared, he is trembling and thought they had the upper hand. Big mistake by political leadership, they overplayed their hand. Other parties do similar actions but when warned they back off since they know the consequences.

Ohh that. Yeah. I heard that it is fine, in fact better, that E. Pak was dismembered.
Anyway, 'fine' compared to when we have surplus during Mushi and Zia times, including weapons on collation support. Not to mention the public perception back then. So, the 'definition' should be standardised. Pineapple and apple are not the same.

Pineapple and apple are not the same.

But if the goal is to have at least one piece of fruit, then either of them is just fine.

Beggars cannot be choosers, so be happy with either the apple or the pineapple, whatever one gets.

Those who have more money get to choose one or the other or even both. And bananas too. Or strawberries. Or even a whole damn fruit basket.

That is how it works.

Nawaz Sharif was jailed under flimsy charges which were financial in nature.

This is not what the f@ujeets told us in 1999, they said he caused a mutiny by appointing
Gen Butt whilst Mushy was coming back from Sri Lanka.

We also got told he was mega corrupt and committed treason, so he had to be removed.
Now Mota Nawaja family have been dry cleaned and put back in power. lol

We have been receivers/beggars, no doubt. However, we have lost so much bargaining. If there are classes, we are achut or untouchable beggars now. So, it is not fine.

All parents wish that their children had better opportunities (all fruits, though I meant something else there). I don't think that parents and elders of the nation consider that it is all fine that our future generation will live on diminishing resources.

We can all agree on the position that it is not fine.

But unless we do something to change what is not fine, nothing will change. And nobody else will do for us what we must do ourselves.

Furthermore, if our leaders are fine to be beggars abroad, then we will remain where we are. Remember the false claims of "hum ney kashkol tor diya hey" made so many times? Even those promising to commit suicide rather than beg the IMF lied.
