SMASH SLBM Testing - Nov 2025

Is the SMASH 2 related to the CM-400AKG? It almost looks similar at least.

cm 400 akg doesn't uses jet vanes it relies on the its fins....

there seem to be jet vanes visible on this version of smash similar to the older one

newer one

The newer one looks more like the fatah2 then the previous ones...

Our newer missiles have a lot of similarity in terms of design with each other...maybe same systems for PA and PN to make supplies efficient??
Also i have noticed we have a lot of variants too...like the supposed 2-3 variants of fatah2 for PA and these two types of SMASH....

One thing is for sure angle of attack is 90 degrees, I think this they tested with warhead separation just as Asad Kamal CEO of gids said regarding F2, I think you remember that, Angle of attack seems different compared to last time if not speed.

I wonder what is that pole for? Not a target flag, It has mast on it.

I don't think it's Smash 2.
It's Same Smash that was tested earlier.Same design though with matured tech inside.
A 250-300km ranged Supersonic Anti Ship Ballistic missile in 2025 is not a big achievement tbh.
Easily stoppable with some good defence system in place.
If you know the ciws and aa systems of indian ships the smash is probably gonna smash as it should.

Its a big thing. Ships dont easily stop the missiles easily.

There's no way to tell whether the target was stationary or moving, but notice the radar reflectors on the target barge, those are meant to simulate the radar signature of a ship, so I'm assuming SMASH has active radar homing in the terminal stage to target a moving vessel.

With regards to the title of the thread, SMASH is not an SLBM - the acronym stands for submarine-launched ballistic missile. Unfortunately there is no universally accepted acronym for ship-launched ballistic missile but perhaps ShBM or ASBM (anti-ship ballistic missile) can be used(?). If SMASH finds its way onto submarines we shall return to calling it SLBM. However, none of Pakistani subs - 70Bs, 90Bs, or Hangors - have VLS, so its difficult to fathom, and in its existing shape it possibly cannot be launched from torpedo tubes either.

The proper term would probably be AShBMs

Depends on how many missiles Pakistan has really but in any massed ToT attack with a large number of SMASH will absolutely be trouble to most indian destroyers with their anemic AAW suites

We really need to retrofit a comprehensive MLU of F22Ps with smash and mordern combat suites. Atleast 8 launchers per ship are required for possessing decent P/K. Its interesting they went for smash on f22p i thought theyd go for harbah NG or yj-12s. What im most intrested in is if we can fit such potent weapons on Azmat class FACs drastically increasing their firepower

It is radar reflectors, could be target is moving all along who knows...
