Turkish UAV/UCAV Projects

While Pakistan is collaborating with Turkiye on a joint program, Pakistan won't abandon the FAAZ to simply manufacture Turkish missiles.

Personally, I think we may see what happened in the naval sector be reproduced. Pakistan will gain enough technical experience from Turkish and Chinese technology to build its own version, like it has done with the Jinnah-class frigates.

In other words, I'm of the belief that FAAZ-2 Will likely incorporate what Pakistan has learned from both the Chinese and the Turks when it comes to AA missile technology.

I think Pakistan should carry on with FAAZ-2 purely to develop a missile that can take on larger drones, and UCAVs where you don't need a "top of the line missile" but a cheaper commodity missile that can take down targets that will be lightly defended.

And most importantly, cheap and able to produce domestically in great numbers. No having to worry about foreign suppliers willing to sell you long range missiles, just a domestically supply chain producing it for you.

Of course, some things Pakistan will continue to rely on foreign powers, such as chips, but it would greatly reduce chances of being blackmailed with sanctions.

What is the Pakistani version of Aselsan and Rocketsan?

The closest would be NESCOM, NECOP, NDC, and PAC. There's also smaller companies that produce munitions, but out of the ones i mentioned, NESCOM-AWP, NECOP, and NDC are the closest thing to design bureaus that Pakistan has. They develop Pakistan's designs of new advanced munitions, including the FATAH MLRS, SMASH, various advanced Drones such as Shahpar 1-2 and 3, as well as designing the FAAZ BVR.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but out of the ones I mentioned NESCOM's Air Weapons Complex is the most well funded.

Its not going to fire PL-17s, China would not allow for the integration, in all likelyhood it would fire Turkish munitions that Pakistan buys, or Pakistani munitions that they jointly develop with Turkey. Pakistan's Faaz BVR program there were reports that it merged with Turkey's i.e. Pakistan might license build Turkish missiles in Pakistan.

If the PAF desperately wants it'll get done.....

PAF's Chinese made Mig-19 clones used to fire the US AAMs.....

Who builds the avionics and sensors though? Like who is the Aselsan?

In Pakistan, its a cluster of state owned defence houses, there is no Aselsan. NRTC is probably the main electronics/rf guys, followed by NASTP kinda breaking into the scene, with a handful of others.

Defence in Pak is tightly controlled to a few branch specific r and d orgs, i.e NRDI, NESCOM, AWC etc etc...

seems like a mistake to keep it so tightly controlled. Doesn't give chance to grow, Aselsan builds civilian as well as defense equipment. And private players are also budding up for various defense equipment.

The army likes its control. It's only recently that they're finally letting private enterprises enter the defense space, and even then they're heavily restricted.

GOKBORA will be fired from IWB of the KIZILELMA in the coming years
GOKHAN for the KAAN 5th gen Fighter Jet

so , KIZILELMA will use GOKBORA , not GOKHAN

---------------------------

It is most likely designed to carry an AESA Radar
but Australia will use MQ-28 with E-7 AEWC and the F-35 to fire AIM-120 BVR Missile

TURAF also has 4 Boeing E-7T AEWC to detect the 4,5 gen Fighters from 350 km away

185+ km GOKBORA ramjet powered air to air Missile will give significant advantage to KIZILELMA for BVR combat to hit the 4,5 gen Fighter Jets without being seen

SKYDAGGER TOYCA 05 swarm kamikaze Drone

➡️ 70 km range
➡️ 5 kg high-explosive warhead
➡️ Mesh swarm communication
➡️ Anti-jamming protection
➡️ FPV or fully autonomous flight
➡️ Annual production capacity: 30,000+ units

Skydagger is coming really fast.
The 30,000+/year kamikaze swarm drone TOYCA has emerged, after the 1 million annually FPV kamikaze drone target

The incredible rise of BAYKAR 2005-2025

BAYKAR in 2006 ... the first UAV of BAYKAR

BAYKAR in 2025 ... the first unmanned stealth Fighter Jet in the World that performed BVR Missile firing test using its own AESA Radar
1764596054922.jpeg

BAYKAR's new mission should be developing a tailless unmanned stealth Fighter Jet for the 6th gen concept

can BAYKAR , ASELSAN , TEI do it ? YES

-- New Platform with tailless design to reduce RCS similar to F-35
-- 2 x TF-10.000 turbofan Engines ( 20.000 lbf )
-- MURAD-100A or MURAD-600A AESA Radar
-- TOYGUN EOTS
-- KARAT IRST
-- GOKHAN ramjet powered air to air Missile with range of 200+ km

---------------------------

I think the Anka 3 and Anka 4 projects are designed as wingman aircraft. But Baykar, on the other hand, is moving towards unmanned combat aircraft. It's clear that Kızılelma is designed more for individual operation than Wingman.
