Mirage III / V of Pakistan Air Force

Hello would like to ask from an expert on paf mirages what variant this aircraft is. From what i can see it appears to be a dual seat mirage 5 rose II/III however this doesn’t make sense as the only aircraft modified to the standard were single seat ex french mirage 5F. I know we have some libyan twin seat mirages as well but to my knowledge those were never upgraded to rose standard. I have seen some mention of 5DF mirage but aiui this aircraft doesnt exist as french airforce only operated single seat mirages
I think it is a Mirage 5 DPA

And J-35 too... just 3 Mirage squadrons left in service
do we have any believable timeline for J-35s ? we heard multiple timelines but then we only see only 1 sq of J-10's which perform pretty good, and also also we saw JF/F-16 and J-10's in action during may operation but mirages were absent at least from the limelight.

Mirage and F-7 PG can't be used in contested airspace against India, but are good for training and for any issue towards West... I think PAF will get a couple of J-35 for evaluation in 2026, with operational induction in 2027 insha Allah

The F7PGs and Mirages probably at this point, have questionable reliability to be used in the West ( ie Afghanistan ).

Unsure what (if any) role the PGs now serve. With IAF now retiring it's MIG-21s PGs are not even useful for DACT. At least Mirages can perform stand off strike or even deep strike when escorted.
Also, pretty sure we can direct all the resources and manpower at Kamra that we use for PG overhaul to other more important projects.
Quetta should become an all JF-17 base. Placing PGs in expensive HAS is stupid.

Issue we have is now Shooter LIFT Sqd uses F-7Ps still. Unsure how we espect pilots now to go from Shooter Sqd straight to JF-17C/F-16C/J-10C and J-35 Sqds.
This means more of the combat training will have to be done at OCU level.

From my perspective, the F7PGs have zero military value as far as I am concerned. Truly, Zero. They are even useless for "drone" hunting duties given the limited number of hard points that they have. Beyond jollies for training/keep a fighter pilot current, there is no point.

How come? They can be used very effectively there.

Reliability. The reason why PAF used JF17s is both precision strikes ( which the Mirages to some extent can replicate, but the F7s cannot ) and reliability. The last thing Pakistan wants to deal with is the optics of a mechanical failure in a F7/Mirage due to their age, to lose a pilot, and a plane over Afghanistan in uncontested airspace. That is why the JF17s were kings and queens of the recent strikes in Afghanistan.

They are completely reliable and fly daily in CCS, simulating actual combat scenarios. The role for F-7PG is air superiority which can't be employed against India but it can shoot down Afghan aircraft.
