You have to understand hes not really a commander. He is basically an ideological extension of Khamenei inside the Quds Force placed there purely because Soleimani is gone.

If I remember correctly he even insulted women without hijab before.

he was Soleimani's deputy for years and supposedly in charge of Afghanistan (although not sure what he has achieved there either)

Soleimani was a unifying figure who was not interested in politics. and he was brave and charismatic. this guy is a big disappointment. he has an opportunity to consolidate support and unity inside Iran after Israel attacks and instead he decides to pursue divisive oppressive politics instead, which is totally irrelevant to his actual job.
