True, but the elimination of ZAB, his two sons and daughter by Establishment did not kill the PPP. On the other hand Zia and Musharrad both had ignominious ends. That's all that I think is restraining current Establishment.
best way now is to release ik , if west really is trying to pressure Pakistan into sending soldiers using ik .
asim and ik need to make for the sake of Pakistan .

i mean tbh nothing that significant happened after they killed bhutto and his daughter and his son
Unfortunately, they didn’t have millions of followers to dominate the war of narrative & perception in Pakistan and all across the globe. I personally know many older people here in Norway who are still crazy Bhutto fans but they have got like zero presence on social media to make a difference…

They cannot release IK now after treating his so shabbily, enraging PTI and blackening their own faces in front of the people. They are now stuck between a rock and a hard place. Keeping Imran in prison gives West opportunity to pressure and penalize Pakistan, releasing Imran at this stage means he will be able to resume his anti govt campaign.

Yet another mess created by idiot khakis.

For serious political observers you can now clearly spot the huge opportunity cost of "Project Imran". Imagine if these jackboots had stayed out of politics after 2009 and focused on their jobs instead. I have no doubt Pakistan would be in a better political and economic spot, even under the "bloody civs".

you are so wrong man Bhutto had the ethnic support that is way stronger especially at that time .

still better than stationing your soldiers in a meat grinder . also i think ik will play nice if they give him power . in th end that's what every Pakistani politicians wants
Yet another mess created by idiot khakis.
qauid warned us , we were too stupid to listen

But now Establishemnt enjoys constitutional immunity......
Everybody knows how the "constitution" was amended by first conducting a farce election, then handing out PTI reserved seats to all the other parties, and then this brute force super "majority" was used to give lifetime immunity to those who engineered it all to begin with! 🙄

The guy is totally unhinged and his only strategy left is to chaos anarchy and bring down Pakistan's fledgling economy. BTW, he was doing such things for a year when he was free after his toppling so not excuse to be made that he is incarcerated without charges or reason.

We may agree that what he is doing is not right, but I will specifically point out, and defend, IK's right to do whatever he thinks serves him the best. He is facing a difficult situation, made worse by his own choices, but whatever he can try to to help himself, of course he is entitled to do it.

Whether he succeeds in it or not remains to be seen. The better players will win. Like always.

They had no choice. PTI was behaving as a 5th column for the talibs.

He was about to give Pakistani citizenship to afghan refugees and allowing afghans to cement their prescence in KP and Balochistan.

He won't be released until these issues are dealt with. I think this is why they were rushing to negotiate with the talibs for a quick resolution.

If this is the extent the establishment have to go maintain Pakistan's interests then PTI is looking more and more like a foreign funded pressure group.

Or the reason why PTI is taking political discourse in this direction is because it has nothing to show for their 10 years in power in KPK.

Unless IK can see the light and back off from his rhetoric on these topics and back off from the military I don't see the status quo changing any time soon.

Khan has destroyed Asim Munir and other crook high command in his recent tweets..

TRANSLATION: I fired the wrong guy when I was PM, and now he is kicking my ass. Life's a beyotch. Boo Hoo.

:D

(IK is the one who is tweeting on social media like a little girl, not me. )

I honestly believe that after enduring two years of solitary confinement, "getting" power through boot licking the same old military establishment is the last thing IK wants. 🙄
Even if Mr IK would agree to play ball, the Establishment is simply too distrustful and scared of civilians it has treated shabbily in the past.

I honestly believe the only choices Imran Khan has are to either die in prison like ZAB or assasination on the street like Liaquat Ali Khan or BB :(

Even if Mr Khan would choose exile, even in that case I think he is going to get the Shahnawaz Bhutto or Arshad Sharif treatment. Such is the true cowardice of khakis.
