At the risk of hogging too much space in this column, I feel compelled to comment on Khun Pratheep’s observation that Thais have traditionally tended to dislike Indians.

When I first arrived here, I was appalled to learn of the popular proverb, “If you see a snake and an Indian, kill the Indian first.” The Buddha was an Indian, and Thais worship the Buddha. You’d think that Indians today would be able to bask in his reflected glory and enjoy considerable prestige here. Alas, such does not appear to be the case.

The Thai people are disgusted with Indians. The Thai government only cares about money. If it was up to Thai people, Indians wouldn't even be allowed to set foot in Thailand.

Actually it's the other way round. Have you seen the level of hate specifically at Indians and Indian racial types on social media, attacks in real life etc? Now your influencers call for 'South Asian Unity'. You won't find no more than a handful of Pakistanis if any saying the same thing in the West.

Agreed level of racism against Indians is at an all time high. Recently a thread about the Air India crash had popular comments praising Churchill on Reddit. That doesn't mean Pakistani/Bangladeshi Muslims are loved though.

Very rarely if ever, are trains in Japan "empty." They are always packed and she don't look distressed. Looks like every Japanese person I come across, socially introverted and fixated on their phones!

There are 2 billion and growing Muslims with over 50 countries, when you are that much people you are enough to respond to anything and form your own group

Muslims tend to hold their faith, values and culture closely and don't tend to bend and in 2025 if anything Muslims have more of a reason to speak out about how important those values are considering the mess and degeneracy prevalent in the west

Hindus and others tend to be very slavish to the whites, and the Hindus have over the last 20 years been very vocal in trying to jump on any anti-muslim activity
All the whites want is a slavish minority who doesn't speak up, hand over it's women to white men and blends in

You are right. The Northern Europeans consider themselves supreme and above other Europeans such as Southern Europeans.

Yes my job a few years back had me visit Euro countries galore. The N. Euros are defo at the top of the hierarchy and their social circles are literally all comprised of Northern Europeans.
That being said I find the Nordic ones the most easy to get on with.

Indian's care less and less. Our foreign policy speaks for itself... Even these lowlives on Reddit have understood this. And Indians are seeing on a daily basis how much westerners hate us so I don't see how we want them to love us. India is not the one nominating that orange turd for the Nobel peace prize for example.

There are fewer and fewer cringeworthy "As an Indian... etc." these days.
